18th rose

"happy 18th birthday our saphire" tito raf said

he should be my 16th rose but the emcee announced him as the 15th rose

"thank you tito" I said with a smile

"we love you, we will always be right here if you need us" he sincerely said

"thank you tito mwa" I said then kissed his left cheek

"hi ate, happy happy birthday" while looking at me like I'm the prettiest girl in the world

minsan lang 'to, sana araw araw ko nalang 18th birthday

"thank you, Ross" I said when he gave me the rose

we started dancing slowly

"ate what if hindi kami yung totoo mong pamilya? will you still love us kahit na tinago namin sa'yo yung totoo?" Ross asked in a serious tone

"huh?" i said

"what if ate?"

I'm starting to get nervous with Ross' questions, he looked really serious

"ano ba ate, 'di ka sumabay may audition ako bukas" he laughed

"when did you start auditioning? di mo naman hilig 'yon ah" naguguluhang sabi ko

"uh l-last week?" unsure with what he just said

"oh okay" I said

I dont want to ask awkward questions since he's still not comfortable with it

"I love you, I'm really thankful that you became my ate" he said with teary eyes

why is Ross acting so weird?

"happy birthday my not so baby girl" Papa said while giving my 17th rose

I guess I will just have 17 roses instead of 18

"thank you papa, I will always be your baby girl" I said

"we love you, you know that right?"

why is everyone saying that they love me? ganto ba talaga pag 18th birthday?

"of course Papa, I always feel your love for me"

"I'm sorry"

"for what Papa?"

"for everything"

"I dont get you Pa" I confusedly said

"remember that whatever happens we'll always be right here"

"I'll take note of that Papa" I smiled

"I love you my not so baby girl" Papa chuckled

"I love you too my one and only Papa"

Papa hugged me tightly while he's crying

"hush papa, I'm still your baby girl. Rosie and I will always be your baby girl" I sweetly said

"by the way your 18th rose said that he is your soon to be boyfriend, he also asked us if he can court you" he said teasing me

"your not my baby girl na talaga" he sighed

"Pa don't say that" I hugged him again

"you have suitors na" he sounded jealous

"don't be jealous Papa, you will always be the first man I ever loved" I smirked

"kung pwede lang na hindi ka mag-eighteen" Papa said like he's stressed out

I laughed with what he said

"'di naman pwede yon Papa, ano yon bata nalang ako forever?" i jokingly said

"basta! know your worth ha" he seriously said

"yes Papa, I know that na 18 years mo nang sinasabi sakin yan"

"I love you" Papa said then kissed my forehead and left me

when the emcee said who's my 18th rose, I was stunned

he stared at me for a second

he's wearing a black suit with his hair cleanly done, his very very kissable lips, thick eyebrows, clearskin and of course chinito eyes

he's holding a rose in his right hand so I'm sure that he's my 18th rose

"happy birthday" he said giving me my 18th rose

"thank you" I simply said

"uh do you still remember me?" he nervously asked

"Apollo Li, the guy na natapunan ko ng ice cream" I confidently said

his hands snaked to my waist, I placed my right hand on his shoulder since I'm holding my 18 roses using my left hand

"I came back when you're already eighteen" he proudly said

"you said you'll see me when I'm eighteen not that you'll come back when I'm eighteen"

"that's the same thing" he smirked

"uhm okay" I simply said

"I'll be straight to the point, Saffira Gutierrez Monteverde I will court you"

I just stared at him, really amused because all of the boys around me always ask for my permission.

"I already asked for the permission of your parents, I dont need an answer from you cause even if you said no I will still court you" he said
