Hello Everyone, this is W.P and I just wanted to mention the trigger warning. It includes self-harm
and it will be marked with this emoji "⚠️". It's brought up a few times after but not with as much description.

Wendy sat by the window each night after supper repeating the phrase "Come back to me Peter" as if he would magically appear as he did that one night.

Every day and night since they came back from Neverland had been tortuous, her strict father and stuck-up, gender stereotype enforcing mother scolded and reprimanded her for not being the 'Proper Lady' they wished her to be.

She only wanted adventure like she had with Peter Pan. They had forbid her from telling any more stories until she learned that they are just that, stories. But she knew they were real, as did John and Micheal, and the Boy who never grows old knew too. Yet she had to agree with her parents somewhat, who would believe the story of a boy who flys and a land where you never have to grow old? Seemed like something Stradivarius of a dream or fairytale.

Yet the living proof sat outside the window after finally finding Wendy Darling and her brother's house again. He had tried to stay away, after all Wendy was the one who wanted to come back in the first place, she thought that after being gone, their mother would kiss her forehead and weep over her absence. But it was nothing close, she scolded them for disappearing. Not because she was worried but what would happen if the papers were to get word of it? They'd have a field day forming their own stories.

Peter would've stayed away but he had to see her again, and he realized that maybe he'd offer them it one more time.

He sat on the branch of a tree outside the window of the dining room listening as they scolded her for telling a bedtime story the previous night. He was furious over the fact they were trying to change the things he loved about her.

That did not mean he wanted to grow old and experience a normal relationship built off of love. But, when discussing his fears with the Native Chief he had explained the emotion of love didn't mean Peter was growing up, it meant that he just had his other half to share his adventures with. Someone to hold at night. Someone to tell you it will be alright.

The impulsive side of him wanted to do desperately fly in through the window and fly away with her without even a thought. Yet, he couldn't risk her parents seeing him. He regrettably decided to stay on the branch of the tree, dreaming of all the things they could do-assuming she chose to go with him but he didn't worry about that too much.

He was off in his own world of his mind when he saw Wendy left the room.  He was excited that the time was nearing after all the time he has spent searching for her. He didn't understand how one could be happy living in the situation she was in so he wasn't afraid she'd say no. He was almost more afraid of the yes.

He wasn't too far off after all. Wendy was tired of her life in London and her dad as always takes it too far whenever they bicker.

*10 mins earlier*

They were silently eating dinner, the silence was almost sickening. It was the type of silence where it was because the second someone did speak, a fight would begin.

As always it was Mr.Darling who spoke up first.

"Wendy tonight is the last night that you will spend in the nursery, you need to grow up and become a dignified woman of society. That means it is time to think of marriage and your own family. Starting tomorrow we are going to have one of your potential suitors over for dinner. Until I decide one is right for you and this family, you are to stay a Darling. Meaning you must learn to act like one."
