PERFECTLY IMPERFECT by Jerry kariuki

PREFACE

Sometimes everything in life seems simple, nobody needs things that are hard to give,you find exactly what you're looking for yet sometimes the hardest questions are asked. Today,a question that was hard to answer five years ago is the simplest I can answer.

The interviewer sits across me. I can see the guilt in him based on his avoided eye contact.This guilt is because of what he is about to ask me but I dont blame him-hes just doing his job

"Who is Mercy Cruise?" He asks

As I open my mouth to answer,Trish she takes out a piece of paper and asks if she can read it then she does.

"I quote: Some would say shes a multi billionaire. A 21 year old owning alot and is too succesfull for her age. I think diffferently, to me Mercy Cruise is a normal girl.She has loved,lost,got her heart broken-more than once,she has some achievements but her failures seem to be bigger and more prominent.Afterall shes gone through luck and been into hard drugs the climax of a teenage pregnancy and the psychological fear of being a statistic.Mercy has been in a mess,made a mess and even been the mess but what makes her so different is the fact that she loves endlessly and has a passion to live not just be alive.She taught me the existance of imperfect perfection.
To meMercy is just perfect imperfection.Her flaws are what make her so perfect and what have have made an impact to the lives of millions."Trish concludes

I look at the writings on thar paper and I knw that hand. Its my daughters father!

"Mercy do you have anything to say?" The interviewer asks

"No...That's the perfect description of Mercy cruise and I am she.I am Cruise.The Mercy Cruise.
