"Dad" we both say in unison
"Is that really you?" I ask dumbstruck that the man infront of my is actually my dad
"Yes it is sweetheart" that's what he used to call me before mom died
"Who let you in here and why are you here?" Crystal asks angrily then expected

You can see the way his heart drops through the tension in his eyes. The weakness in his heart the old father I remember when I was young and broken.

He gently sighs before he answers Crystal's question " I came to.... visit my three children before they celebrated they're 15th birthday"

Again totally slipped my mind

"So you think you can rock up here after 7 years and everything is going to be all of sudden peachy"
"Crystal" I say to her shocked but also in hatred
"Don't you dare talk to me like that daddy's little angel" she snaps back at me

I ball my fist into a circle, looking at her in disgust not recognizing my own sister but I feel I fire burning inside of me like my temper is about to explode. But I know what ticks her off the best in moments like this ... kindness.

"So what do you suspect is happening here"
"Don't you dare play mind games with me."
"What do you mean loving, kind, patient dear sister."
How's that for a show!

"That's enough both of you" our dad yells out gritting is teeth
I totally forgot he was here
"Sorry dad" just realizing that Leo has disappeared. Is everybody being trained by ninjas or I'm I getting older as in grandma old?

" Jasmine!, Did you hear what I just said?"
"Yeah I totally did" Lier
"Really then what did just say?"
forgot dad can sniff out a lier from a mile away
"Anyway I'm not going to be able to stay for long meaning I'll miss out on your birthday party."
"Oh😔"
"Yeah another let down from the greatest dad in the world" Crystal yells out storming away
Then he turns his head towards me the look he gives me like I'm his last hope and I'm the only one who can restore it... mom.
"Sigh, Continue on what you were saying"
"So I have planned for you a party tomorrow and everything is taken care of I even bought Crystal and you two different dresses with gorgeous pumps and Leo a grey flannelette shirt with black skinny jeans and Michel Jordan nikes that are placed in each of your rooms."
"Thank you so much dad" I say to him hugging him ever so tightly never letting him go
"Anytime my sweet angel" as he plants a kiss on my forehead.
And we stay there as long as time waits

I rush as quickly as can to my room swinging the door open reveling a beautiful golden shimmering box dressed in a fine red bow laying next to it are a pair of gorgeous cream 2 inch pumps. I carefully untie the bow leaving the box bare. I slowly open the lid of the box which contained a gorgeous Style Stalker "only you dress in white" which had a round neck long sleeves which were laced then had a sweet-heart neck line that was plain white like the rest of the dress which gently passed my knees and no farther. I gawked at it for so long not even realizing that two hours had passed since I looked at it. Thank goodness I had finished my homework at lunch or else May would have killed me.

As soon as I glimpsed at the time I quickly rush towards the kitchen where I found everybody including May just starting to eat.
"Hey Leo, can you be a dear and go get Jasmine"
"Fine" he says frustrated
"Thank you"

Then I start to hear footsteps heading towards me. I quickly find a place to hide then get an idea. " 1..2...3....4.....5
I start to count of in my head ........8.........9.........
10!!! I scream out loud jumping from were I was standing.
Ahhhhhhh!!!! A very high pitch scream sqwirls out of Leo
"Gotcha!"
"Jasmine was that you screaming?"May asks while laughing at the facial expression of Leo.
"Nope, it was Leo"
"I can tell" she says pointing towards him
"Let's go have dinner, tomorrow is your birthday how exciting" she states as we head to kitchen/dinner room leaving mr cool behind
