When I had made it to Watlerville. I cursed myself for being slow. I watched as the Volunteer Dreadnaught plowed through the city river and shot down buildings and Lritish tanks on the ground. I had made it too late, and now the fighting had begun. It's only a matter of time before the Army gets here as well. I begin to run into the city with my rifle in hand. I ran into the outskirts of Watlerville and took a deep breath. I looked around and tried to discern where I was. Which I couldn't. Since there were just buildings all around. I couldn't see the Dreadnaught in this concrete jungle.

I glanced at the tablet and made my way to where I thought the Dreadnaught was. I was hoping it was making its way to the deep-water ports. Since that was where I was headed. All I could do was hope.

I walked for a moment, with the sounds of gunfire and explosions getting ever closer. Where was all of the fighting? I mean I didn't want to be a part of it. But if Nephias sees me just walking around aimlessly he is sure to break his promise. I could hear the sounds of the ocean getting closer, along with the sounds of cannons firing and gunshots from small arms as well. I was getting closer that's for sure. That's when I heard something, that would send shivers through my body.

I could hear the blunt deep voice that would sing the Hlevian Anthem. It was being played on a speaker from above. Accompanied by footsteps, helicopter rotors, and engines. I ducked into a building and closed the door. Peeking out of the window to see if it was... Yep. I could see the brown tanks of the Hlevian Army, accompanied by the green-clad soldiers sprinting their way to the ports. I crouched lower to see up. Helicopters. Did this country send its entire goddamn military? I had never seen so many soldiers in my life. Once they make it to the ports that's a wrap for both Lritain and the Volunteers. It will only be a matter of time.

I pondered for a moment. Sitting on the dusty hardwood floor of the building I sheltered in. I could either wait for the fighting to be over. Or I could help the Volunteers. Either way, I may get free and have a chance at finding Tessia. Though she may already be dead. Though I don't want to believe it.

Army... Or Volunteer. My choice. Many outcomes. I looked down at my garments. I was still wearing the Volunteer clothing. If I get caught by anyone that isn't also a volunteer I'm done for. I grabbed my rifle and steeled my resolve. I have to fight. The more people die the faster this fight will be over. I just have to change out my outfit. Sorry Nephias, but you're losing this battle. I ran up the stairs of the building and looked for the nearest room. There. I walked over to it and kicked it open. Empty, I need a room with clothes. Any clothes. Next one. Kicked open, nothing.

I could hear voices downstairs. Maybe they were checking the buildings for survivors? They won't find anyone just going into the buildings. This place is just about as bad as Brunsland. Everyone feared the streets and took to hiding on rooftops. But if I don't move they'll find me. In the uniform of a Volunteer.

Next door. I kick it open and search it quickly. Yes. Some clothing! It belongs to a guy, but it looks like some of this stuff fits me. I quickly change into some casual clothing and shoved the uniform into the closet. Shutting it, I count the number of bullets I brought with me. twenty... six. I have twenty-six bullets. twenty-six fewer people in the fight. That's good enough for me. I heard footsteps ascending to my floor. I guess now's the time. My hands were sweaty and shaking horribly. Why? I've killed people before but for some reason. I'm afraid. Probably because I'm fighting three armies on my own. That'll be pretty dangerous. But I've taken worse chances. Or I least I think so.

I hid in a closet. Waiting for them to come in. I peeked out as I heard their footsteps entering. Two soldiers entered the room. They carried what seemed to be out-dated weaponry. I looked at their soldiers and saw the Helevi star. A red four-point star found in the middle of their flag. Recruits. They probably weren't a threat. But then again the Army's soldiers have trained past belief. What the Helevi army lacks in quantity they make up for that in quality. A recruit can take on a U.P.A Navy Seal. Which is a big deal.
