Chapter 7

      Time skip to 9 years later...

Year: 1992

Holly is 12
Emma is 22
Will is 22
Mike is 24
Dustin is 24
Nancy is 27
Jonathan is 28
El is 24
Max is 24
Lucas is 24

Will and Emma are stronger than ever.
Mike has Jane. He calls her by her middle name, which is Elanore, or 'El.'
Lucas has Max.

Emma's POV.

Well, the past 9 years went by really fast. Dustin got himself a girlfriend somehow, which was strange, because Dustin was. . . Well, he was Dustin.

Anyway, today is Will and my 10 year anniversary.

I was in room, getting ready, because Will was going to be taking us to the beach.

"Holy shit..."

"Dustin! Don't you ever knock?!"

"You look good, sis."

"Thanks. Now get out!"

"Just came to tell you that your boyfriend's here."

And with that, he left.
I finish and go outside, where Will was waiting for me on his bike.
I get on the back, wrapped my arms around him, and lay my head on his shoulder.

"You ready?"

"Yeah."

"Alright, let's go!"

He started pedaling.
After a little while, we finally get to the beach and I head to the changing stalls.
I go in and take off my over clothes, leaving me in my light blue bikini with black music notes all over it.

I get out and walk over to where Will was. He was looking me up and down.

"Like what you see?"

He chuckled and grabbed my hand, intertwining our fingers.
We get in the water and swim for a little while.

After a little while, we get out of the water and walk along the edge of the water for a little while, hand-in-hand.

The sun was setting, painting the sky with pink and orange streaks.

Suddenly, Will stopped.

"What's wrong?"

Will's POV.

I had been planning this moment all week.

"What's wrong?"

"Um... E-Emma?"

"Yeah? What is it?"

I take a deep breath.

"The day that you and Dustin moved here, I felt something that I had never felt about anyone else before. At the time, I had no idea what it was. As we got older, I learned what it was. I had a crush on you."

I take another breath.

"That day that I told you, I never thought that you would feel the same, let alone kiss me."

I smile, remembering that moment.

"But you did. And you gave me 10 amazing years. I couldn't possibly imagine living without you."

At this point, Emma was on the verge of tears.

"Today, on our 10 year anniversary, I want to ask you..."

I take out the box in my back pocket.

"... will you make me the happiest man in the world..."

I get down on one knee and open the box.

"... and spend the rest of your life with me?"

Emma was in tears.

"Yes!!"

I put the ring on her finger and stand up.

I grab her by the waist and pull her into a deep, passionate kiss.

It was the perfect way to end an absolutely amazing day.

It all started with me having a crush on a girl.

A girl who just said yes.
