Marinette and Clara day on Chloé's couch, catching her and Jane up on the meeting with her dad. And the unexpected meeting with her uncle Dick. Chloé was so proud of Clara she jumped up and hugged her.
"You did it. You told him everything! I'm so proud of you. I have been wanting to say something to him for years. It took me five months to find your mom when she left. And I knew she was pregnant, he didn't know and didn't find her at all. UGH!!"
Marinette laughed at her friend before turning to her daughter.
"What did you think of your Uncle?" She asked
Clara sat for a minute before smiling. "I like him. He was nice and he wanted to know me. But him and dad both said I was like you mom."
Marinette giggled "I know, you have a lot of me in you, but the reason I keep telling you your more like your father is because I want you to not be angry with him all the time. Your father is a good man, he just gets lost in his head. I love you Clara, and I love your father, but sometimes I can't decide who's who. You act so similar." She said with a find smile.
Clara smiled, but it wasn't bright. It was sad.
"Mom, please tell me why you we never took a trip to see him?"
Marinette looked at her hands. Then took a shuddering breath in. Chloé wrapped an arm around her friend, trying to keep her from going into the memory.
"Because, do you remember when I went on a trip with Uncle Jagged and you stayed here with Jane and Chloé?" Clara nodded "well, we went to Gotham, and the boy that gave me my scars lived there now. I originally went out there to talk to your father. I was going to bring him here, to meet you. Whether he liked it or not. But I ran into Adrien and," she stopped talking. "He attacked me. Blamed me because Alya and Nino didn't get their dream jobs. But he refused to blame Lila." A tear raced down Marinette's cheek. She wiped it away hurriedly. "I don't want you to know about that part of my life. It was a very dark time for me, and Chloé." Mari gasped "Crap, I still have to tell Kim and Max!"
Chloé burst out laughing. "Only you MariBug!" She said
Clara watched as her mom and Chloé laughed together and smiled. She has never seen her mom laugh so hard before. Chloé as well. It's like they were remembering something only they know.
"Kim's going to instantly adopt her. Then kick Damian for not looking." Chloé laughed
"Max will have Markov hack into Wayne Enterprises and mess with their system." Marinette laughed with her.
When she calmed down, Marinette took a deep drink of her Coffee-Tea. She was on cup five, while Clara was on cup two.
"Marinette, do you still love him?" Jane asked
Marinette sighed, like she was caught red handed. "Yes. I do."
"Why don't you talk to him, mom?"
"Because, I don't want him to come in and do something to screw up the bond we have. Clara I love you so much, that I want him to know you first. I want you to form your opinion on your own. If I go to him right now and talk, everything will be peachy and then he'll stay here or make us move to Gotham. I'm not going back to Gotham. Plus, our town is quirky. I like what we have here."
Clara shifted uncomfortably, "well, that'll be hard since I told him to leave in three days."
"Of course you did. At the meeting today, did you try and let him explain why he never showed?"
Clara shook her head and gripped the seam of her shirt. "I was too scared to hear the truth."
"Oh, honey." Marinette pulled Clara into a hug. "I want you to get to know him. I want you to meet him properly, and if you want me to, I'll go with you, but I think you should do it on your own."
"Mom, I really don't want to. Maybe it's better if we don't have him around- Mom!"
Marinette clutched her chest before falling to the ground. Clara clutched onto her mom, screaming her name. Chloé screamed and pulled out her phone.
"Hello, yes my friend just collapsed. I don't know. She just fell, she clutched her chest....no she's unconscious.....ok thank you."
Chloé took several deep breaths before pulling Jane into a hug. "The ambulance is on its way. Don't worry. She'll be ok."
Clara sobbed as she shook her mom. The door opened to reveal the paramedics. They had to push Clara out of the way to check Marinette's vitals. When one of them started to panic and started shouting, Clara pulled her phone out and dialed a number.
"Clara, how are you?"
"Grandpa Alfred, moms going to the hospital. I think she had a heart attack. I'm getting in the ambulance now, can you meet me there?"
"Oh dear.....yes. I'll be there."
"Please hurry." Clara hung your the phone and followed the paramedics outside to the ambulance. She hopped in the back and they were off.

Clara paced.
She paced in front of the door to her moms room. Alfred hasn't shown up yet, Chloé and Jane we're getting coffee-teas, and she didn't know what to do. So she paced, trying to rule out anything that could have caused this.
When the door opened, and a doctor walked out she jumped.
"How is she?" She asked
The doctor shook his head. "She's stable, but she's in a coma. It may be awhile before she wakes up."
"What happened?" Clara asked desperation laced her voice.
"I'm sorry I can't give you that information. I need a parent or guardian to give you that information."
"That is my mother. You will give me the information now." She seethed. She glared at him before poking him in the chest repeatedly.
The doctor sighed "Fine, but I can't tell you everything."
"Fine, just the basics is fine."
"Your mother has had a heart attack. We found something dark next to her heart. We don't know how to remove it so we are going to get an expert in to help us out."
'Mom had a heart attack. Something is next to her heart and they don't know what it is. Mom.....could die.'
"Thank you." Clara said and backed herself against the wall and slid down it. Multiple emotions flooding her veins.
"Clara?" She looked up and saw the last person She wanted to see.
"What are you doing here?" Clara asked him but stayed still.
"I came here because your here. So is your mom."
"Just go away dad. I don't have time for this drama."
Damian moves over and sat next to her. "I'm here because, your my daughter and I'm finally showing up."
Clara looked at him. Really looked at him and gave a small smile. "It's about time." She giggled sadly.
"So, what happened?"
"Heart attack. There's something next to her heart. They don't know what it is. Thats all they would give me."
Damian chuckled "you definitely have my fire."
Clara smiled and leaned slightly against Damian, who wrapped his arm around her. "She's strong, she'll make it out." He whispered
"I hope so." Clara said as a few tears streamed down her face.
