He hasn't changed. It's been a week since Adrien and Lila showed up. I've been at Chloé's since I was released from the hospital and Clara is with Damian. I'm taking the risk and going to the store. Chloé is helping Granny with her kitchen today. So I'm home alone. I threw on a pair of Bermuda shorts, a black sports bra, and a baggy black tank top. I wore tennis shoes to complete my outfit. I had to get out of the house. If Adriens going to kill me, I might as well do it on my terms. I grabbed my purse and left.

Clara

"Little C! Your dads trying to kill me again!" Uncle Dick yelled while he took cover behind me.
"What did you do?" I sighed and looked at the adult.
"I may or may not have told him your mom left Chloé's house."
I froze. "She did what?" I asked, my voice a deadly calm. Dick shuddered before taking off again.
"NOT YOU TOO!!"
Mom left Chloé's house. She could get hurt. She.....she......oh no. Not thinking I grabbed my bag and took off out the door, with one though on my mind.
'Moms gonna gets herself killed!'

I had to ask Granny where mom was, she told me the supermarket. Thanking her, I raced out the door and raced to the store.
Mom was in a heated argument with a man with blond hair. I have never seen him before.
"Marinette! What the hell are you doing here?! Your suppose to be dead!"
"Wow, thanks Adrien. Anyway, get out of town."
I watched as mom grabbed a box of flour and put it in a basket. She was ignoring the Adrien guy and continued to get groceries. I sighed when nothing happened, but I sighed too soon.
"You need to remember your place, Bakers daughter." Adrien said and shoved mom into a shelf, knocking down items.
"Hey, your gonna have to pay for that!" Mr. Dalley said.
"Sorry, Mr. Dalley. I'll clean it up as soon as he leaves." Mom said, before turning back to the Adrien guy. "Leave. Now. Your out of your territory this time."
He smirked and grabbed Marinette before he shoved her again into the wall. Not caring what mom and dad said, I stepped out and tackled him. I pulled the gun mom gave me out and pointed it at him.
"Don't you dare touch her. Don't ever touch her!" I yelled
"Who the hell are you?!" Adrien said and started to struggle under my grip.
"I'm your worst nightmare." I said and stood up, kicking Adrien away. "Leave town and don't come back. If I hear that your back and looking for Marinette I'll end you." I said and pointed the gun at him. He paled and ran off. I placed the gun back in my pants and checked on mom.
"Mom, are you alright? Are you hurt?" I panicked when she didn't answer. I placed a hand on her cheek and one on her shoulder and shook her gently. "Mom, snap out of it!" I yelled. I felt tears prickle in the corners of my eyes. I shook mom again before I just sat there and stared. I checked her pulse and her breathing. She's alive. I felt a hand wipe my tears away.
"I'm ok."
"Mom, you scared me." I said and wrapped her in a hug.
"I'm proud of you, but you shouldn't have gotten involved. Adrien gets what he wants, I told you to stay with your father. Why didn't you listen?" Mom was half crying, half disciplining. I stood and pulled mom with me. She stumbled forward but held her ground. She wiped her eyes and gave me a smile. She grabbed the rest of the groceries, payed and left.
"Mom, will you walk with me to the inn. Dicks the one that told me you were there, and I think they would like to make sure you are ok."
I watched mom physically freeze and look at me. "I don't know honey. I haven't seen your uncles and grandpa in years." She said with a sigh.
I wrapped an arm around her waist  and smiled. "You'll have to see them again sometime. My birthday is tomorrow." I said and smirked when she threw her head back and whined loudly. She nodded but we stopped by Chloé's to drop off the groceries.
"Hey, your mean." Mom said as we entered the inn and I dragged her in. She dragged her heels like a kid.
"Come on. You have to do it eventually." I said and shoved her towards the door. She tripped and crashed into the wall.
"Ow, Clara. That was mean." She said with a pout.
I bent down and smiled nicely "If you go in there and talk to everyone, I'll give you ice cream."
She scowled "with sprinkles?"
I nodded. She jumped up and smiled "SPRINKLES!!!" She shouted with her fist in the air. I laughed loudly and knocked on the door. Mom bounces slightly as we stood in front of the doorway. Dads the one that answered the door.
"You promised her sprinkles on her ice cream didn't you?" He asked with a sighed
"It was the only way to get her up here. I had to drag her here." I said back "she's such a kid."
"Heeeey, your no better." She said and poked my side. I laughed before pushing past dad and dragging mom with me inside. Mom lite up and raced to the glass bowl full of candy. "Candy!" She grabbed a random one and ate it. She sighed and smiled softly. "That's good candy."
Dad walked over and whispered something in her ear, and mom turned bright red. She promptly smacked dads arm before grabbing another piece of candy.
"Hey, don't eat all my candy!" Uncle Jason shouted and raced towards the bowl.
"No way! It's mine now!" Mom shouted
Mom held the bowl away from Jason and raced away. "You'll never get it!" She shouted
"I don't remember her being so fast in heels." Uncle Jason muttered
"She's been practicing. But she's even more like a kid. She said she acts more like Uncle Dick when he was her age." I said with a giggle
"You got that right." Dad huffed before wrapping me in a hug.
"BRUCE! HELP!"
"Marinette?! What are you doing on the chandelier?!"
"Keeping the candy away from Jason. It's mine!" I could hear her laughing from here.
"Get down from there now!" Grandpa said
"No! I don't wanna!" Mom called
Smirking, I broke from dads grip and raced over to mom. I jumped up and crawled up to sit next to mom on the chandelier. "Hi, mom." I said and grabbed some candy.
"Hi, Sweetheart." Mom said and handed me the bowl of candy. "I want the reds!" She called and picked at the candy.
"Mom, they taste the same." I said and handed her a green one.
"No, red is my lucky color. You can even ask Chloé." She said and snatched a red one from my hand. I smacked her hand away and took the red M&M back. I shoved a green one in her mouth. She ate it and frowned at me, crossing her arms with a pout on her face.
"That was mean of you."
We both burst out laughing. I looked down and saw the whole family standing beneath us. Smirking I shoved mom off the chandelier. She didn't shout she just twisted and flipped and landed with grace. She turned up to me and frowned.
"Hey! You can't push me off of things! I do that to you!"
"Not anymore!"
I sighed and leaned back against a bar and ate the candy.
