                                                                           1 YEAR BEFORE

Darkness. Marilyn feels weary like she just ran a mile at the Fitness Site. She can hear voices,

"Isn't she supposed to be dead by now?" A shrill-pitched voice inquired to their left

"Well, If what we heard is right, then she shouldn't be." The deep, gruff voice replied. A bright light shining on her as her eyelids fluttered open becoming blind for a split second. A small gasp escaped from a young woman, she wore a long, glossy silver lab coat, reflecting the light. Her short, raven hair dropped to her shoulders with a baby blue top with grand, bold white lettering saying GO AWAY. She looked to her left and saw a tall man with the same silver coat with a black button-up shirt, looking down at her. She aggressively tried to punch the girl, no matter how kind she looked. The chains jangled on her wrists stuck to her sides, protesting from her force. "Well, Looks like she has some spunk, She'll do nicely." He smirked, jotting some notes down on a clipboard nearby on a table. She growled at them, hissing hoarsely "What am I doing here?!" The girl had a beat of sympathy in her eyes but it quickly faded when she replied, "We were just- checking for food poisoning, we've had some patients vomiting the last few days since that chicken pot pie, you know?" The woman chuckled nervously and Marilyn mock-smiled back, Looking down seeing that there were chains on her welded to a platinum table, she wore a grey shirt with a symbol that was familiar to her but she could not put her finger on it. The man looked back down at her then exhaled audibly, then nodding to the small woman on the other side of the table. She nodded back to him and grabbed a needle filled with a navy blue liquid, the light reflected off the sharp tip of the needle. Marilyn bit her lip, squeezing her eyes shut waiting for the pinch. The lady injected it into her bloodstream. She suddenly felt drowsy, her eyesight blurring.

                                                                                  PRESENT DAY

The sounds of glasses clinking together filled the small bar, she sighed, and cleaned the interior of a shot cup. Male cheers were heard throughout the tavern. A tall man, known to her as the manager of the bar, came up to her nodding. she gave him a thumbs up and a weak smile, putting down the cloth and shot cup. Unwrapping the apron from her waist, she hung it up on one of the coat hooks. She straightened her grey-blue button-up shirt and walked out of the backdoors. Thinking to herself, This was a good day- Sudden gunshots filled the air, out of instinct Marylin ducked down, holding her head. Something was thrown across the alley and a cry was heard followed by a sickening crack! "Come out Mari, I know you're out here." Marilyn frowned, backing away from the voice. She was suddenly stopped by a heat enveloping around her body. A confused sound escaped her lips, trying to get a look at her captor. She was turned around without her consent to reveal a tall male, or that's what she thought because of the voice, wrapped in a midnight blue cloak, hiding the face. "W-Who are you?!" She stuttered, cursing herself mentally. It chuckled viciously, looking down at her as he stepped closer. Bending down dangerously close to her, he whispered into her ear maliciously. "Sweetheart, your worst nightmare." With those words, he clapped his hand on her mouth with a cloth reeking of chloroform. She struggled as hard as she could and just when she had dislodged him off her, the chloroform kicked in, sending her falling face-first into the concrete. Luckily, the man was able to grab her before she hit the ground, picking her up bridal style. She hung limp in his arms and was thrown into a white van. The guy took off his hood and put the pedal to the metal, a loud screech! Could be heard as he sped off out of town. On the empty highway, multiple potholes scattered across the road. He tried to avoid most of them for the safety of Marilyn. Eventually, halfway through the highway, a plothole missed his sight which ended up in a jolt of the vehicle. Marilyn stirred, shifting her position. Unnamed guy, looked behind the seat to make sure she was okay, letting out a sigh of relief, he gazed back at the road. After maybe a few hours of driving, not including the breaks, he took from driving to catch a few z's. He had reached his destination, a run-down shed in the middle of nowhere, which was a small forest. He stepped out of the vehicle, opening the van door and pulling Marilyn out, heaving her into his arms. "Ooh boy! You sure are heavy..."

"Ya calling me fat?" A new voice snarled back, looking down at Marilyn, he was surprised that she awoke, dropping her in the process. "Ack!" She shouted, landing on her behind. "Hey! What gives!" The young man quickly apologized, helping her up as she dusted off her pants. This time, Marilyn got a good look at him, he had a sharp jawline, tousled brown hair, green eyes and a couple of dimples on either side of his cheeks. To any other girl, he would've been 'boyfriend material' but all Marilyn saw was a kidnapper. "Oh, WHY THE HECK DID YOU KIDNAP ME?!?" He shrugged, looking away. "We kinda need you." He casually replied. She raised a brow confused, "Who's we?" He widened his eyes, walking over to the shed and knocking on it with a distinctive pattern. It creaked open to a pair of green eyes, a small sparkle in them. "Jade, it's me and the new girl." Jade, she presumed, glanced between Marilyn and the guy a couple of times before unlocking the door. A short girl looked up at the pair, she had multiple birthmarks on her face but to be honest, Marilyn thought it made her pretty. She grinned, jutting her hand out for her to shake, "I'm Jade! Nice to meet ya!" Marilyn raised a brow and reluctantly shook her hand. Jae pulled her in, along with the other dude. Marilyn glanced at the guy, asking sarcastically, "So, will I ever learn your name, mysterious dude?" He facepalmed, quickly introducing himself, "I'm Elliot. This is my sister, Jade." She nodded, shaking his hand. A pink blush spread across his cheeks, pulling his hand away and scratching the back of his neck, looking away. "...Alright then. Now, explain to what in the world is going on?!" Jade gasped and slapped one of Elliot's arms,

"¡¿No le dijiste ?! Oh, Dios mío, tengo que hacer todo yo mismo, ¿no ..."

(Translation; You didn't tell her! Oh my god, I have to do everything myself, don't I?)

She presumably scolded him in Spanish. Elliot shrugged, locking gazes with Marilyn for a second than glancing away. Marilyn thought nothing of it, following Jade down a stairway. She ran her hands along the wall, feeling the moss growing.

(that's all I have for now, I separate my wall of text after-
