Chapter 1

(-Harumi's POV-) 

I lying in bed with Nightmare next to me.I was reading a book when I heard yelling coming from downstairs."WAKE UP YOU LITTLE BRAT" I heard my mom scream. I got up as quickly as possible  and got dressed.I put on a black dress with roses on it and some black vans on. Today was my first day of high school. Yes I said high school, a 5 year old in high school. The reason why is because im considered a "prodigy" which means im super smart for my age. I was nervous about it but the good thing was that I was allowed to bring Nightmare with me. I've had him for a couple of months now and we loved each other. As I ran downstairs with Nightmare behind me I saw my mom drinking. "I-I'm ready m-mother" I said scared that she was gonna hurt me again. My mom looked at me with a death stare in her eyes. "your walking to school since you father is at work and im busy" She told me in an annoyed tone. I nodded and left but before I opened the door my mom threw her empty glass bottle at my head. 

I screamed in pain as felt the glass hit my head. Nightmare started barking at my mom which made her more mad. I opened the door and ran outside, Night stopped barking and followed behind me. As we ran I could hear my mom screams coming from behind as they faded away. I made it to the high school. It only took me about 10 minutes to get here since Jasper was a small town. I could tell the kids here where staring and whispering about me but I didn't mind. We sat under a tree and I got out a book and started reading while night was laying down. I heard some people talking behind the school and one particular one need help. "Vince,please stop that hurts!" I heard one of the voices say. "Ha,no way nerd,not until you agree to do my homework!" Said who I presume was "Vince". I put my book away quickly and ran to where the voices were coming from. When I turned to the corner I saw a group of boys bulling a kid with spiky hair and glasses. "Hey,Leave him alone!" I screamed at them.

(-Raf's POV-) 

Vince and his gang kept bugging me to do their homework for them but I kept refusing. "Hey,Leave him alone!" I heard a voice call out.I thought it would be either Jack,Miko,Or bee in his holoform I did not expect this. We looked to see that there was a girl probably around 3-5 years old with a HUGE dog next to her. "Aww, nerd is your little sister here to save you?heh how cute" I heard Vince say.  "what are you gonna do about it kid?" Vince said as he dropped me from my collar on the floor. I look at the girl as she looked back at me and then back at Vince. "I-I....." I heard the girl say. "ha we aint afraid of you,Get her boys" said Vince. One of the boys grabbed her and threw her strait to the wall. I heard her whine in pain. I ran up to her to check on her. She was bleeding and badly. "Leave us alone Vince!" I told him while I had the girl in my arms.I noticed that she hugged me back and was crying. All of a sudden her dog started attacking. I sat there trying to comfort her from the pain.

(-Harumi's POV-)

I looked at the boy then back at Vince. I gotta admit he did look scary when he was mad. I started to regret this but I couldn't let them bully a kid like that. "I-I....." I said as I didn't know what I was gonna do since he was way bigger then me. "Ha,we aint afraid of you,get her boys". as the boys got closer Nightmare was gonna attack but one of the boys grabbed him and before I could save him,one of them grabbed me and threw me to the wall. I whined in pain. I was bleeding alot and my scratch on my back opened. The boy ran to me and put me in his arms. I hugged him because I couldn't stand the pain. I didn't realize I started crying. Night started attacking Vince and his gang. I heard some kids yell before it all went black. When I woke up,I was in the nurses office with new stitches on my back. Thank good I hid my wings this morning.

When I sat up I saw night on the bed with me and 3 kids next to me. One of them was the boy I helped, the other boy had black hair and blue eyes, and the girl had black hair with pink highlights on her hair,they were up in two pony tails and some of it was loose. "hey,you ok" asked the kid with spiky hair. "y-yeah im o-ok" I stuttered.When I properly looked at him he was kinda cute(not in that way). "Im Jack" said the boy with black hair. "Im Miko" said the girl. "raf" said the boy with glasses. "the names harumi". I saw the trio smiling a bit. "thats a cute name" he said. "t-thanks Raf" I told him. "and who is this little fella" said Miko as she petted Nightmare. "Oh him thats nightmare" I told them. "jeez he's huge, no wonder Vince was screaming in pain" said miko. "Um how long was I out for?" I asked. "not to long you only missed 1st period" said Raf. "oh well we should head to class" I told them as I got off the bed. 

We all went to class and I let the trio go in first. :and may I wonder why you three are late?" asked the teacher. "sorry miss we were helping out the new student" said Jack. "Oh! thats right we have a new student joining us today, please be nice to her". I walked in and the whole class(except the trio)gasped as they saw me and Nightmare walk in. "go on and introduce your self sweetie"said the teacher. "H-hi, my name is Harumi and this is Nightmare my emotional support dog" I said. "thank you darling you can go have a seat now" she said. I went to my seat and the teacher started teaching about our history. The day went by really smoothly actually,I would spend time with the trio but mostly raf since I had most of my classes with him. School ended and we said our goodbyes as they got on their rides. I sighed and started walking home and I was scared for what was gonna happen next when I get to hel- i mean home.
