Author's Note: Back to Adrien's POV, enjoy!

I can't stop looking at the time. I can't stop thinking about today. I can't sleep. Just... how could I be so careless?

"Plagg, do you think she'll be awake? Should we go see her?" I questioned, half hoping he'll yes.

"I don't know kid. Just know that what happened to her isn't your fault. Just be happy you found her in time." He assured while stuffing his face with another piece of camembert. As I watch him smile with every bite, I go to open up the window. I can only stand that smell for so long.

But he's right. I didn't realize she was hurt until after the akuma was purified. Judging by the cuts covering her body, I think she was hurt by a few of Rosetta's sharp thorns. She must have been hiding, since she was so near the action. The part I don't like was the fact that I led the villain so close to a civilian. Even though it was all part of Ladybug's plan, I should have been more careful to make sure nobody was on the street. How did I not see her? Why Marinette of all people? She didn't deserve-

"Fine! If all you're going to do is sulk and worry, we might as well go check up on her. Just promise me we won't take too long." He proposed, and I instantly grabbed him from the air and hugged him.

"Eww, let's hurry, it's already midnight." He mentioned. I nodded my head, and rushed towards my bed. I quickly tied my pillows together and placed the cover over them to make it seem like I was in bed sleeping. Just in case. Then I glanced back to Plagg who had a slight smirk on his face. Weird, but I don't care. I just have to see Marinette tonight.

"Plagg, Claws out!" I shouted, as I watched him get sucked into my ring. A familiar lime green light surrounded me. My pajamas disappeared as a black, skin tight suit took its place. An extended belt to represent a cat's tail, black cat ears on top, and a shiny bell at the collar to complete the look. As the green hue disappeared, I quickly unclipped the silver baton from my back and jumped out the window I had opened earlier.

With the ground quickly approaching me from below, I placed both hands on the baton and extended it, pushing me up into the sky. With every jump, I swiftly made my way to Marinette's. Soon, I was in front of the bakery Marinette's parents run.

Uh, I probably should've thought this through. Obviously the bakery is going to be closed this late at night, so I can't just walk in. Then again, it would be weird for me to walk in as Chat Noir into the bakery, even if it was open. Even from out here, I can smell all of the delicious pastries and breads from inside. One of the many benefits of being Chat Noir.

Wait, Marinette has a balcony! I remember seeing a trapdoor that led to the roof in her room when I came over to play video games with her. I quickly stuck out my baton, then angled myself so that I would land on her roof. It was small, but cozy. She's very lucky to have an entire balcony to herself. I turned around and felt my heart slightly pounding in my chest. From up here, you can see so much of Paris. The view was breath-taking, and everything was still and quiet and peaceful. Then I turned around to look at the trapdoor on the floor.

I feel my heart starting to race. I mean, would she even want to see me? Isn't it weird to just randomly pop in to visit a girl past midnight? Maybe, this wasn't such a good idea.

No, I have to see her. She can simply yell at me to 'get lost' if she wants, but I have to know if she's okay. After taking a deep breath, or two, I knocked on the trapdoor as softly as I could. I didn't want to wake her up if she's asleep. After two minutes, I didn't hear anything, nor did I see any lights turned on inside. I don't think she's awake. So I stood up, and turned to look at the city once more. I should head home before someone notices me gone.

"Chat Noir? What are you doing out here?" I whipped my head around, to see Marinette's head popping out of the trapdoor. In the moonlight, her dark locks framed her face as her bright blue eyes were sparkling. The very same eyes that were intently looking right at me. I couldn't help but smile.

"I hope my Purr-incess can forgive this cat, but I just wanted to see how you were doing." I slowly got down on my knees in front of her so our eyes could meet.

"How about you come inside, then we can talk. It's chilly out here." She stretched her hand out to me, waiting for me to take it. I looked down and frowned at the bandages covering her entire arm. I looked back up to meet her eyes, and I could tell she was shivering. Of course she was, she only had a tanktop on from what I can see.

"Are you sure? I don't want to cause any confusion or trouble with your parents." I asked, never breaking my gaze from her. There's something so intoxicating yet sweet within those blue bell eyes. I saw her nod in approval, so I gently grabbed her hand, careful not to let my claws scratch her, as she led me into her room. Once we were on top of her bed, she closed the trapdoor above us. The whole room was dark, except for the moonlight pouring in from the two large windows from either side of the room and the trap door above us.

"Just give me a minute to turn on the light." She assured me as I could hear her slowly getting off of the bed. Refusing to let her walk down those stairs in the dark, especially in her condition, I tapped her shoulder.

"Let me do it. I was the one who came here unannounced. Besides, I'm the one with night vision here. Just tell me where the switch is." I smirked as she rolled her eyes at me. She moved to the opposite side of the bed so I could go down first. Grabbing onto the black rail, I made my way downstairs as she called out directions to me. It was funny how detailed she was with her instructions, especially since her room really isn't that big. I guess that's what happens when your dad gets you a two-story bedroom with a basketball hoop, foosball table, piano, and an entire wall full of dvds and books. Marinette really is a lucky girl.

Thankfully, the switch was right next to the window by her desk. As I flipped it on, a soft golden light filled the entire room. Then I glanced towards Marinette who was rubbing her eyes from the sudden burst of light. I smiled as I made my way back up the stairs. Once I was at the top, I stretched out my hand for her to take this time.

"Let me help you downstairs Purr-incess, I wouldn't want you to strain yourself." I chuckled, but now that I can see her full body in the light, I realized just how badly I messed up.

Yay, it's done! I wonder how Marinette's feeling about Chat's surprise visit. Also, I'm not very good at making up cat puns for Chat so expect few, or any at all, in this story. Sorry!

Til net time, Bye bye~
