Chapter 9

I woke up and I was the first one awake so I took a shower and got ready. When I got out Mahogany was awake so she got her clothes and got ready. I left a note saying I was going to the lobby and when I got down there my brother was there once he saw me he looked angry.
J: Vanessa I know you like Shawn and I'm not happy about it so you're not aloud to talk to him ever again.
V: You can't tell me what to do I'm fifteen almost sixteen and you're also not my father.
J: well guess what Vanessa mom put me in charge not you so even if you say I can't tell you what to do that is so not true because if it wasn't for me you wouldn't even be here at magcon I brought you here so I can easily bring you back to Omaha.
V: You know what Jack I hate you so much you're worse then dad
After I said that Jack did something I never thought he would he slapped me so I ran to somewhere I knew I was wanted I knocked on the door. "Vanessa what are you doing here and why are u crying while holding your face" Shawn asked, "i..its a l..long s..story" I said stuttering because I was crying so much after I finished crying I told Shawn what happened besides the part of me liking him.
S: why did Jack hit you?
V: I told him he was worse than my dad
S: what's so wrong about your dad
V: when I was younger he used to abuse me and he would force Jack to watch him hitting me sometimes Jack would try and save but me but my dad would end up hitting Jack
S: oh I'm sorry I asked you since that was personal
V: it's ok Shawn I feel like I could really trust you
S: good and if you ever have anymore problems you could always come to me
V: thanks Shawn that means a lot to me
After he just looked at me and I looked at him we just started leaning in and we kissed I felt so much sparks between me and him I think I might be falling for Shawn. "uh I'm sorry that I kissed you" Shawn said "its okay Shawn I really liked it" I said. "Thank God I didn't want you think I was a bad kisser anyways you can stay here I mean if you want" Shawn said I just nodded.
