I took in deep breaths as my heart started to beat faster and faster.

How the hell did they know? They couldn't have found me that fast right? Besides that, why did he call me himself?! Shit! Did I really mess up that bad this time?!

I was frozen. I have no idea what to do. Do I go outside? Are they going to be there waiting for me? But wait, he said that he can see me so that means he's here? He would really come in person? Shit! If he came here himself then I must have really pissed him off this time.

I whirl my head around the room. There's no one. Well not him at least. But why would he come in person? What I did wasn't really that bad! Well actually, it was pretty bad... he seemed angrier this time more than he has ever been. I pissed him off so hard that I'm surely as good as dead at this point... FUCKING SHIT! I TOTALLY FUCKED UP!

My phone rings with another text message.

What's wrong darling? You're looking like a deer caught in the headlights.

My heart started to pound faster. Sweat was trickling down my head and my knees were starting to tremble.

This can't be happening right now. There's no way he found me already. I can't... I can't go back...

This can't be true right? What if it isn't really him? He called me darling. There are only two people who call me darling. Him and...

I paused.

Wait a damn minute.

I re-read the message and facepalmed my forehead so hard, feeling like a total and complete idiot.

These words... 'darling' and 'deer' they sound all too familiar to me.

Kuroo you son of a bitch!

I swear to God when I get back to Tokyo I'm going to drag your ass to the top of Docomo tower, dump you down, then run you over with my car.

My phone rang again, signaling another text.

Hey Ayame, it's Kenma. Kuroo was texting you earlier. He thought it would be funny to prank you since you always get scared when that ringtone goes off so he set it for his number and changes his name in your phone. I told him not to pull a prank like this but he didn't listen, as usual. You're coming back from visiting your grandma tonight right? I kdjkslsb-

Hey, it's Kuroo. Your ass better be back here by 7:00 PM sharp like you promised. I swear to God if you ran away again I will not hesitate to give you another heart attack like the one you just got, but it will be in person and way more frightening.

I breathed a sigh of relief. So it wasn't him after all. But I swear on my life that when I get back to Tokyo, Kuroo you are gonna get the ass whopping of your lifetime.

I feel like crap right now though. I really hate having to lie to them and then disappear like a ghost. But they're my best friends and I don't want them to get involved in this mess that I'm in.
