Chapter 1: The Question

Deku was waiting at the mall for Uraraka to arrive.

He was thinking to himself silently.

"I don't know how I even pulled it off," he said, "All I did was go in and boom."

He started to remember the events that occurred on a Friday afternoon.

Flashback

Deku and the others were talking about their weekend plans.

"So yeah, I'm gonna be taking more lessons from Jirou," Kaminari said, "She really helped us out at the school fest."

"That sounds nice," Iida said, "Meanwhile I'm just gonna be doing some test runs with Hatsume."

Everyone turned to Deku.

"What about you man?" Kirishima asked.

He all turned to them and closed his hero book.

"Probably just gonna work out like usual."

Kirishima sighed.

"Man, I know you wanna have the best-fit body for your quirk, but you gotta get out more often man," he said, "It's not good for you to just go by the same routine day after day. Most of us are spending time with our lady friends." Iida approached him. "While training to be a pro hero is important, it would also be best to spend time with someone you care about."

They both turned their heads to Uraraka.

Meanwhile, she was talking with the girls.

"No," she said.

"Yes," Mina said, "You know you want to!"

Tsu approached her.

"I mean, it's not like he's doing anything other than working out, Kero."

Uraraka has had her mind on Deku ever since the cultural festival.

"Maybe I do like him......" she admitted shyly.

Mina chuckled.

"See that wasn't so hard," she said, "Now go ask him out."

She hesitated.

"I...... I don't know if I can," she said, "What if he likes somebody else?"

Deku was thinking to himself as well.

"What if she says no, or what if she has feelings for someone else..... like Bakugo?!"

Just the thought of his crush dating his childhood bully made his skin crawl.

"Dude, in case you haven't heard, he's dating Camie," Kirishima said reassuring him, "So you don't need to worry about him getting in your way."

Deku sighed in relief.

"The worst she can do is reject you, now just go for it."

Deku realized they were right.

He started walking over to Uraraka.

'Ok,' he thought, 'All you have to do is ask her if she wants to see a movie with you. It's not that hard.'

Mina saw him walking by.

"Here he comes!" She whispered.

"Shh," Momo said.

"Hi Uraraka," Deku said nervously.

"Deku, how are you?" She asked smiling.

"Doing well, thanks for asking," he told her scratching his head.

"Man, that lecture was pretty brutal right?" Asked Uraraka.

"Yep, thankfully I took some notes," he said.

Uraraka giggled to herself.

"Always the smart one," she said, "But its a cute quality."

'Cute....' Deku thought, 'Maybe I do have a chance.'

"So....... There's something I've been meaning to ask you."

"Yes?" Uraraka asked nervously.

"So I realized I have a free weekend, and my friends were suggesting I get out of the gym more often," he began, "And I've been thinking about something."

"What is it?" Asked Uraraka while playing with her hair.

"Uraraka..... would you like to..... I don't know..... see a movie with me this Saturday?"

That's when Uraraka blushed.

"You mean like a date?" She asked.

After a few seconds of silence, Deku finally answered.

"Yes," he said.

Everyone was waiting for an answer from her, primarily Mina.

Her face became redder than Mina's skin.

"You..... me..... date...... I......... SORRYDEKUIJUSTREALIZEDIHAVETOGOANDGETSOMETHING! SEEYOULATER!!!!!!"

With that, she left the classroom, leaving Deku with his jaw open.

"Oooooohhhhh," Kaminari said.

"Man, that was brutal," Kirishima stated putting his arm on Deku's shoulder, "Sorry about that man, I really thought you would hit it off."

Bakugo fell to the floor laughing before he got back up.

"The nerd got rejected by round face," he said, "I bet she doesn't even find you attractive."

The second he said that he was met with glares from everyone in Class 1-A, primarily the girls.

He kept laughing until Kirishima punched him hard in the face.

"Fuck is wrong with you man, cut him some slack!" He shouted.

Deku said nothing.

He grabbed his bags and retreated to his dorm.

"Midoriya man, wait!" Kirishima said trying to get his attention but to no avail.

Deku was walking back.

'Stupid, what were you thinking,' he thought to himself, 'Of course Uraraka wouldn't wanna go on a date with you.'
