Chapter 2: The answer

Uraraka was walking to the mall to meet Deku.
She was very excited about having her first date with the boy she liked.
"Still," she said to herself, "I can't believe things went like that."
She chuckled remembering how things went down.

Flashback
Uraraka was in her dorm room hitting herself on the wall.
"Why did I do that!" She said, "All I had to do was give him an answer, but no."
Someone knocked on her door.
It was Mina.
"If you don't mind me asking..... WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT ALL ABOUT?!" She shouted.
"I don't know," Uraraka asked, "I just panicked."
"Panicked?!" Mina asked, "You bolted out of there like Sonic The Hedgehog!"
"I know....."
"Honestly, think about how Midori felt," Mina said, "He could be crying his eyes out thinking you rejected him or...."
Momo intervened pulling Mina back.
"Now now Mina, give her some space," Momo said, "Its not like she meant to hurt Midoriya's feelings."
She looked at her phone and decided to call someone.
The phone rang and someone answered.
"Uraraka residence."
"Hey mom, its me."
"Ochako, sweetheart," said her mom, "How are you doing?"
"I'm doing good," she answered, "But..... something happened."
"Are you ok?" Mrs. Uraraka asked worried.
"I'm fine," she answered, "but...... somebody asked me out today."
Mrs. Uraraka squealed.
"Who was it?! What's he like? Is he cute?"
Uraraka blushed hearing those questions.
"Its..... Deku," I said, "Well, his real name is Izuku Midoriya."
Mrs. Uraraka thought for a moment.
"Why does that name sound familiar?"
Uraraka sighed smiling remembering the entrance exams.
"He's the boy who saved my life during the entry exam," she admitted, "The one who knocked out that 0-ptr with a single punch."
Mrs Uraraka smiled after hearing that.
"Well he seems like a fine boy," she said, "Your father would just love to see him."
"Well, I don't know what to do," Uraraka said, "I left him without answering and I feel like I hurt his feelings. I doubt he'll wanna talk to me after that."
"Aww, sweetheart don't be so hard on yourself," Mrs. Uraraka told her, "You just didn't know how to respond. I was the same way when I met your father."
Uraraka was surprised.
"Really?"
"Yes, he asked me out and I wasn't sure what to say. But later that same day, I told him yes. And we've been together ever since."
Hearing those words made Uraraka smile.
"Thanks for talking with me mom, but there's something I have to do now. I'll call back later."
"Bye bye, dear," Mrs. Uraraka said as she hung up.
With that, Uraraka made up her mind and left her dorm.
"Girl where are you going now?" Mina asked.
Deku was in the gym doing his workout routine.
He was practicing training one for all using small percentages and then rising to higher percentages.
It was the best way he could be able to master his quirk.
He was also remembering the times he saw Uraraka talking with Sero.
From his view, it seems like they were getting one step closer to dating.
The thought of it kept clouding his mind as he was continuing his training.
"Maybe he's better boyfriend material than I am."
Someone approached the doors.
It was Uraraka.
"Deku?" She asked.
He turned around and saw her walking by.
'Its Uraraka. Act natural,' he thought.
He approached her.
"Oh, hey Uraraka," he said.
"I see you're getting your body use to your quirk," she said, "That's good news."
"Right," he said still feeling sad about earlier.
"Are you ok, it seems like something's bothering you."
Uraraka could tell that something was bothering her best friend.
Deku knew he had to come clean at some point.
He took a deep sigh.
"Listen URaraka," he begun, "About earlier, I wanted to say that I'm sorry. It was kinda stupid of me to ask you that question when I knew you had a thing for someone else."
"No Deku, its me who should apologize, I was the one who..... wait, what?"
"I saw you spending a lot of time with Sero and he was helping you with your quirk," he said, "I was beginning to think you had a thing for him."
Uraraka remembered the times that she was with Sero who was helping her with training.
She then chuckled.
"Deku that's silly, I don't like Sero," Uraraka said, "I mean I like him as a friend, but I don't feel any feelings for him."
"Really?" He asked.
"OF course not," she said, "To be honest, I've been wanting to say this for a while but I didn't want to get in the way of your goal, but..... Deku, I've had a crush on you since the Entry Exams."
Deku blushed.
"Really?" He asked.
"Yes, ever since that day, all I could think about was how amazing you were, how you saved me," Uraraka said, "You inspire me to keep trying when the going gets tough."
Deku smiled.
"To answer your question about earlier, I'd love to go on a date with you."
Deku smiled.
"Perfect," he said, "We can meet up at 1:30!"
"Sounds great," Uraraka said as she kissed his cheek, "I'll see you there."
She started walking away leaving Deku smiling widely.
Sero gave him a thumbs up.
