Chapter 7 New Strangers

3 days had passed after the death of Jeffrey Woods. It was still unbearable to admit, they had to continue. In one night, Sally said to Ben:

- Mr. Jeff is coming back, right?
-........ Of course, he just left in there to take a nap.
- He is so lazy, hahaha!!
- *She hasn't understood that Jeff is dead, how? *
- He is like the dad I wanted!
-..... Yeah...

After a while, when everyone got to sleep, Ani got over to Ben.

- I failed him.... I wasn't fast enough....
- Hey.... Go easy on yourself... You actually got to him, we all couldn't even see him clearly. Despite the fact that could die in the fires, you went in there and tried to save him.
-........
- Come on now, don't cry, there's no need for that... I should be crying, I am one of the strongest in here....

They decided that they were better than all of that, they didn't need to blame themselves.

Meanwhile, back to Jeff's grave, the tear from Ani that fell to his heart started to glow. Blue was glowing from inside the dirt of the grave, then suddenly, Jeff got out and started to breathe heavily.

- Where am I?! Oh no, this my grave, did I died? I remember closing my eyes at the battle with Jane while Ani came out of nowhere and tried to save me. Jeez, where did everyone go? And how am I still alive? I need to find them, quickly.

Jeff got up and started running to the footsteps of everyone.

Meanwhile, at the camp, Ben and Ani both fell on a bed and slept the night there. The next morning, everybody was packing their things, but then Toby asked:

- Hey! Let me ask you something, Ben!
- Yes, what?
- Are you.... In love with Ani?
- What? No no no!
- But you slept together!
- That doesn't mean anything!
- Anyways, if you are, I would like some advice... You see my voice has got way better than the first time we met, thanks to Clockwork! And I wanted to get something for her. Any ideas?
- Well, first of all, I am not in love and second, you can bring something you think she would like.
- Oh, I know! A broken liver!
- No! Not like that!
- Hmmm..... Waffles?

- Of course! How didn't I thought of that before!

Toby didn't ask any more questions, they all continued their journey. Meanwhile, Jeff just woke up:

- Damn, what a pain. Yesterday with Jane, at least I tried. But I failed again. No more talking, I need to find the others. They might be in trouble.

Jeff got up to his legs and noticed a little pool of blood.

- What? Is that my blood? It wasn't here yesterday.

He noticed a weird smell in the air, he followed it and found two dead bodies.

- Damn. What happened here? More footprints.

He noticed that these footprints were not from the others. They were from someone else. It was a group, it seemed like they split, four people he suggested in his mind, he tried to move from a different path to reach the footprints from his friends. But he heard something cracking in the trees, he stopped and look around, it was quite, he continued to walk until one step felt heavier than the others, he had stepped in a rope that got his leg wrapped up and got him upside down on the tree. Surprisingly, his knife didn't fell down. Then two people came out of the bushes :

- Who do we got here Tim?
- We just got a big fish in a small lake. Jeffrey Keaton Woods.
- What the hell is going on with his face?
- Look who is talking, the guy who has none.
- Hey, shut up! We are talking now!
- Okay red eyes man.
- You little...
- Let him be hoodie. Now tell us what we're you doing in our parts.
- Your parts? These woods were walked by Slenderman not you. And if you don't let me go, Zalgo is going to walk these parts and destroy them.

- It's a demonic being who can kill you with one touch. He wants to make the earth, his own hell.
