Chapter 13🌹

Josephine

"I'm so sorry."
Lili apologizes with tears in her eyes. She's such a sweet girl.
"It's ok, Lili. I understand."
I assure her with a tender smile.
"But still... I'm sorry."
"How many times are you going to apologize?"
I laugh in amusement and she finally returns a smile.
"You can call or text me when you wanna talk! Ok?"
"Ok. Thank you, Jo."
"No. thank YOU. You're the only one who's on my side."
As I state, I gently yet friendly hug her. She seemed to be caught off guard and didn't hug me back till I released her. Maybe she's not a big fan of hugging.

"Is that the guy in the F4?"
Lili, all of sudden, questions with her eyes fixed behind me. Turning back I can see a tall figure with blond hair standing in front of a poster about 50 feet away. It's Ross. I feel my heartbeat quickens.

"Look. I have something to talk to him so see you tomorrow!"
Before she opened her mouth, my feet were already heading to where he is as though they were given their own will.

"Ross?"
My voice is high-pitched as if it doesn't belong to me, and I awkwardly clear my throat. Damn it!
"It's you, again."
As soon as he takes in my figure, he slightly smiles.
"I googled the time difference you were talking about!"
I cheerfully start blurting out gaining confidence from his smile.
"It was 9 hours. Why did you want to know that anyway?"
I tilt my head but he doesn't say anything and sadly casts his gaze toward the poster in front of us. On that poster is Selena's beautiful face lit up by the streetlights nearby. The fact that she's his crush innocently hitting me, a sting in my heart relives again.

"She's my idol, too. I decided to come to this high school because of her, in fact. She's exactly who I want to be."
Telling him my personal story in a calm voice, I move my eyes back to him. Then, what was waiting for me was anything but I expected. A few inches away from my face was his handsome face! I can vividly feel his hot breath fanning on my nose.

Oh my god. What is happening? Is he trying to kiss me? I want to but I know I shouldn't. Does he want to?

Millions of thoughts run through my head in the speed of light. He, then, slowly yet certainly leans further closer to me to the point where our noses are barely touching. My heart is pounding at my chest and the air is getting thicker and thicker.

This is it. This is the moment I finally get a first kiss. Forgive me, mom and dad. Even though I'm not losing my virginity, I'm already begging my parents to approve my "growth" due to panic. I'm pathetically confused right now!!

"There's something on your lips, Jo."
is all he says, and he straights up himself in a flash, leaving me stupidly hyperventilating. It must be the frozen yogurt I ate earlier. What the fuck!!
I'm so fool to think he was actually gonna kiss me!!! Of course he was not intending to kiss you but to let you know your carelessness, Jo! How dumb I am.
I'm too shamed of my stupidness to utter a single word whilst my cheeks are deadly burning from humiliation.

"Here."
With one word, however, his thumb gently brush my bottom lip in a slow motion, which stiffens my body like a statue. His finger is cool against the soft skin of my lips yet burns me second by second. As my lips take over every nerve of my body, I can feel nothing but his touch. My mind is completely blank now.

"Are you ok?"
His voice finally brings me back to reality, and I quickly nod my head yes multiple times like a broken toy.
"I... I gotta go."
Only did I say those words, I sprinted back to the store as fast as I could while my lips were still enjoying the memory of him.

Hero

It became my routine that I follow her after school. I'm doing this so I can come up with a new plan to ruin her. It's not because I've been drowning in the blue-grey seas of her eyes ever since she punched me, you motherfuckers!

Anyway, I'm in a car parked near her workplace. She'll be working here another hour according to my one-week investigation. However, today is different. She comes out from the store with a girl who's wearing our school uniform.

After exchanging a few words, Langford gently embraces her while Lili absentmindedly keeps standing still with mockingly rolling her eyes behind her back, which irritates me in some measure. Wait, why am I angry for Langford when she's my enemy? Fuck!!

They separates from each other a few seconds later and Langford runs to somebody standing in front of a giant poster on the wall. Shit, It's Ross. What is he doing here? Is he following her like me? My blood instantly boils from all the estimations running in my brain.

She's talking to him while her eyes are on the poster but he, on the other hand, slowly leans forward. When she turns her head back to him, their proximity fuels my anger like gasoline. Is he gonna kiss her? Fuck am I gonna kill that son of a bitch if that's the case! My grips on the steering wheel tightens as their distance decreases.

Suddenly, however, he halts at an inch away from her face and brings his finger to her full lips instead of his fucking lips. Wise choice, Ross. I silently let out a sigh of relief, still feeling anxious from the fact that he's touching her after all.

1 second. 2. 3. 4.... Shit! How long will he keep his finger on her lip? When I count 10, his dirty thumb finally leaves her plump bottom lip. I wish I could capture it between my teeth and be praised by her soft moans... What the fuck am I thinking?? She's your enemy, Hero! Come on!!

I can tell she's upset considering from even her back and she genuinely sprints back to her store. Did she want him to kiss her? I man, she likes him? Only thinking about it pushes me to the edge of a cliff. I even feel a small pain in my chest. Why am I affected by that bitch this much? Fuck!!

I'm determined. Tomorrow, I'll definitely make it her final day.
