She met him in a convenient store at a very inconvenient time.

It was three in the morning when she hopped off her swivel chair to get something to satisfy her grumbling tummy. She had been studying for six hours straight, her mind already overloading with information on velocity and acceleration.

She hates physics. She can't quite marvel on how this may affect her chosen profession. Yet here she was, memorizing countless formulas.

Again, she hates physics. She hates everything that doesn't correlate to dancing.

What she would love at the moment is a good quality ramen and some chocolate milk to come along with it.

But when she went to the cupboard, all it stored were Chaeyoung's unlimited supply of gummy bears and green peppers. She scrunched her nose in disgust.

She wanted to scream and cry, her frustrations coming in close contact with reality. She decided against it. It's a waste of time.

Instead of waking Chaeyoung up and crying because they ran out of ramen, she chose to let her best friend sleep and go for a late night/early morning ramen run. Luckily enough, there's a convenience store near their dormitory. A store that she and Chaeyoung frequented in.

She grabbed a hoodie from the edge of her bed and slipped into her favorite pair of sneakers before making sure that the door is locked to keep Chaeyoung's sleeping state safe inside. She cannot afford to lose her best friend, nope. Not today at least.

Walking towards the convenient store, she looked up to gaze at the stars that still shine even though they're meeting their ends in a few hours. She finds it beautiful. She found the peace she have been craving for weeks.

She pushed the door open of the store with a bright neon sign atop the roof, being greeted by the cashier who still has the biggest smile on her face at such an ungodly hour.

"Exams?" The cashier, Jihyo, asked.

"Death." Lisa gloomily replied, dragging her feet towards the aisle where the packs of noodles are perfectly arranged and laid out in front of her droopy eyes.

Her fingers glided over the plastic packages, trying to pick a flavour that will suit her 3am taste buds. At last, she settled for a spicy one, something to… you know… spice things up. She needed to be jolted awake anyway. She still has four ugly pages remaining in her text book that has yet to be read and understood.

Her brain cells are slowly deteriorating, though. May the heaven's above help her.

Ramen in one hand, she then proceeded over the coolers and grabbed herself a chocolate milk. Something to keep her spirits up, hopefully. Besides her best friend and dancing, chocolate milk is part of her happiness, too.

She paid for her purchases as Jihyo asked how Chaeyoung was doing. They have bonded through jamming sessions in between breaks but they haven't done that in a while because of the university wide examinations.

"She's sleeping soundly." She answered as Jihyo pushes her ramen and milk, knowing she'll eat it out here. "You know her, she sucks at cramming."

"Not as much as she sucks at trying to make Jungkook notice her." Lisa shot up a look of mischief and there was a forming smirk on her lips. She suddenly felt a tad bit awake now.

"You're right!" They fist bumped and laughed, something Lisa felt so foreign to. She haven't laughed like that in approximately two whole days. Thank the heavens for Chaeyoung's failed attempts at flirting.

No, not really. That Jungkook guy is just… dense.

Sometimes, she thinks of making the move for both of them. Set them up on a blind date or something. But that's a problem after the university finals.
