Earth turns, revolves and rotates
In its own pace never too early or too late.
It circles in a closed, never ending ring
If we go back to see the star patterns
we have once seen before,
Then why do we age?
Why do our bones go weak
And our years are on the wage?

The planet never tires,
so could it be immortal?
Back and forth it goes in a
spin so formal.
What if we were pieces of
Jupiter or maybe the Moon?
Would our lives spin the
same way; to wither a little
too soon?

It never stopped rotating, no?
Even after the rumours of 2012,
the green abused,
The guiness records of buildings,
Or having plastics overused.
Surely Earth is the most patient
with humans over the entire universe.
But it would be tired of us one day
and breakdown or worse.

I wish we could be Earth
To be patient, to be generous
A hundred years is nothing but frivolous
We could be just a little bit old,
A little more wise,
The amount of love we can hold

Spinning, repeating, away from
the goodbyes.
