"How long was I out? How did this happen? Why didn't I die when Charle did that to me?". These were the thought running through my mind. I saw a sign that read "Restroom"so I ran in to it trying to fight humiliation.

I pull and pushed, I twisted and turned the knob but the plain white door would not open. I heard a sudden noise coming from the inside, I could tell by the high pitched squeal it let out it was a girl.

"How many times do I have to tell you!?! I'm in here!"

"Oh no!" I thought

I especially didn't want this girl who was already upset with me to see me naked. I started to become worried I'd never get dressed now. I paced around until I found a janitor' s closet and rushed myself in. It was dark and I couldn't see much at first, luckily there must have been a motion detector light because a light that was dull, but still a light of some sort, turned on. .

I was very scared by this, it was not all what I was used to. I was convinced it was a witch craft of some sort or maybe even Charle.  I found a uniform jumpsuit in there and slid it up my legs.

The outfit was s forest green and pretty ugly. There wasn't any shoes but I knew I could find a way to get some shortly. I twisted the door knob slowly and carefully.  I leaned my head through the closet to the hallway looking back and forth checking to make sure none of these strange people were walking by.

When I saw nobody was I burst through the closet running as fast as my scrawny legs could take me. As I ran I started to wonder more things.

"Am I really old or am I still 18? Why am I not hungry? What happened to my step family after I left?" .

I came to an exit at last. This was a weird door. When I came close to push it, it opened by itself. I scared me worse than my step father when he had one too many beers.

I ran outside anyways, not knowing where I was going to go or what I was going to do.  I could see I was behind the building, many loud noises of beeping and engines could be heard in the distance.

This big empty lot I was standing on was fairly new asphalt, I could tell by the intensity of the strong black. It wasn't anything interesting behind there those, pretty basic.

Alas a man appeared out of nowhere and stared blankly at me. He was an old fellow, I could tell he had lived at least 70 years.

"Why I don't think I've seen you working here before... You must be Elliot."

I walked towards this man slowly with a slightly more exaggerated facial expression than I planned.  Every time my foot hit the ground it hurt. My bare feet ached as if I had just walked upon hot magma.  I was, in my mind, planning everything I was going to say.  I was to nervous to go through with it though, I didn't want to seem weak, even though I was, but I didn't want to seem to have too much pride either.

This man I was looking at, this guy right in front of me, could have all of the answers to all of my questions. I calmed down, trying to not get my hopes up. I wanted to find some reason for why he knew my name. It made no actual sense to me.  I thought about it harder as I walked

Maybe this is all just a strange coincidence....

I finally stood in front of him and made direct eye contact.  I tilted my head, just slightly, and lean forward.

"H-How do you know my name?" I asked, my body was trembling.

"That doesn't matter Elliot, but I can explain to you how this happened..." He assured.
