i walked over to kaylas house cause i normally walk with her to school. once i got to her house i texted her to let her know that i was here. she walked out and waved to me.

kayla: so....
y/n: so what?
kayla: so are you going to tell me what's up-
y/n: "what's up"?
kayla: i don't know, you just seem off
y/n: in a bad way?
kayla: not in a bad way. i'm not sure, your just putting off a weird vibe today. and you have been for the last two days.

we walked to school and went to our lockers until the main office had an announcement over the speaker.

speaker: Today is not like every other day that we have. today we will be having a few guests come over. please be respectful.

kayla: tf-

y/n: i mean, no offense. but who the fuck would want to come to this school? all the kids here think it's a personality trait to kiss in the hallways-

kayla: exactly, but come on we're gonna be late to english.

we walked into english class barely making it before the bell rang. she walked over and sat in her seat and i walked to mine on the other side of the room. i set my stuff down on my desk and notice that a different kid is their. normally it was a boy with blonde hair who sat their but now it's someone different.

i think he might be new? or maybe i just don't pay attention to any of the kids i sit by.

teacher: today we will be having guests come here.
kayla: what guests?
teacher: you all will see when they get here. but until then we have a new student. Caleb say hi.

he waved shyly. he lowkey looked embarrassed as shit but i wouldn't blame him.

teacher: ok let's get started now cause we are already falling behind.

she started talking and i just zoned out. i wonder where my dad it. he told me one day when i got back from school that when i'm at school he normally isn't home. he probably just hangs out with friends or gets drunk-

teacher: y/n? y:n?!

i snap out of my thoughts and look up at her

y/n: oh, what?
teacher: what's the definition of Enormity?

teacher: nicely done.
