the teacher hands out what looks like paper work to fill out as we work with our "side partners".
y/n: why are you here?
caleb: you mean, why did i move?
y/n: go with that.
caleb: well i'm from new jersey but my mom got a new job so we moved here.
y/n: what is she working for now?
caleb: i think she's just transferring doctor offices.
we kept talking about random things while we were doing our work until a y'all lady with dark black hair open the classroom door and signaled the teacher over to her. they were just whispering. the teacher walked to the front of the classroom as the other lady left.
teacher: the guest had somthing else brought up so they will be comming later this week.
she walked back to her desk.
caleb: who even were these "guests"
y/n: not sure, their was an announcement this morning about them comming but they never said who it was.
the bell rang and i grabbed my stuff and walked out. i walked to my locker and grabbed my backpack and walked home. nothing special.
i opend the front door but somthing felt off, i took off my backpack and looked at the kitchen table, i saw two glasses of whine bottles but my dad was no where to be found. i walked to my fridge and grabbed a bottle of water and opend the lid and closed the fridge door but when i did i saw a y'all figure.
y/n: shit- you scared me
??: heh
y/n: who are you?
??: i'm william, one of your dads work friends.
y/n: oh um, ok... is my dad here?
william: you ask a lot of questions for someone your age.
y/n: well i mean, you are the random stranger whose in MY house.
he walked closer to me and rubbed my shoulder
y/n: uh, maybe you should get out, i have homework and it's been a long day for i think both of us...
william: oh no it's fine, your dad told me that he would be home soon so no need to fright.
he walked a little closer but i took steps back. i turned the other way and started to walk until i felt a tight grab on my wrist pull me. it started to get stronger and pull me to upstairs on my bed.
william: your dad is going to be home in 10 minutes so let's make this quick.
y/n: your sick
and with that i pushed him to the side and ran out my door, i could tell he was chasing after me by the sound of running foot steps behind me. i was running as fast as i could. i took a sharp turn but then i tripped over somone causing both of us to fall over. i saw a vape pen fall into the sewers.
??: what the fuck
??: that was my last one
i lift myself up to see caleb fixing his curly hair in a angry way. i look behind me to see william still running towards me.
y/n: shit- run!
i grab his hand and we both start running. i take was about to take a left but then he pulled the other way.
caleb: dead end
we both ran to a somewhat big house. he walked to the side and climbed up to his window.
caleb: cmon
he let out his hand and i grabbed it and went through his window into his room.
caleb: soooo
he looked at me with a confused look.
y/n: what?
caleb: are you going to explain why you were running away from a creepy guy then ran into me and causing both of us to fall over.
y/n: that's a story for a different time i guess...
he rolled his eyes and sat next to me on his bed.
y/n: do you have a charger
caleb: yeah hold on, i'll be right back.
he walked out of his room. i noticed he had a picture of him and what looked like his dad. i herd the door start to open so i set it down and go sit back down on the bed.
he walked in the room and plugged my phone in
caleb: what happend to your screen?
y/n: oh my da- um i just dropped it and i guess it fell hard enough to crack
caleb: anyways... let's go downstairs
we walked downstairs and he turned on the TV. we sat down on his couch and watched netflix. we eventually fell asleep.
~time skip~
i woke up to the sound of somthing ringing comming from upstairs. i was about to get up but i realized that caleb had his arm on my waist and if i got up i would wake him up. i slowly slid under and walked upstairs slowly.
the ringing sounded like it was comming from his room. i walk in and see that it's my phone. my dad was calling.
dad: where are you?
he sounded angry but also as if he just woke up from a nap or somthing.
y/n: i'm uh, at kaylas
dad: why? you were supposed to come here tonight.
y/n: i know but i had a big project that we had to work on together.
dad: you better be home by tomorrow
and with that he hung up the phone. i started to walk out of the room and i took a left but then i saw a body standing right in front of me, it startled me not going to lie...
caleb: hey are you ok? i woke up and couldn't find you
y/n: yeah i'm fine it was just my dad on the phone.
he nodded
caleb: let's just sleep up here i guess
he let me sleep on his bed and he just made a little spot on the floor.
