The early seats of the Gods were filled with what humanity had suffered from. This is the story of The Starved, or the God of Starvation and Hunger. Their titles were not simply restricted to material hunger and starvation, but the concept of it as well. The hunger for knowledge, the hunger to find more, the hunger to get more. The hunger for more.
So being one of the first Gods to be created, they were alone with observing the world around them. How they came to be however, was a much more different tale than the one they are with now.
In the tribal days of Humanity, hunger ran rampant through the numbers of every tribe. Food was scarce to obtain, so many were suffering from starvation. But throughout them all, they were only hungering for material foods. Plants and meats could sate them. Not one. This singular tribal was a male with no name, as it was lost to time. He hungered for the world, what was around them and not just food. It was only customary that he was treated with the same animosity that the others gave to beasts that ventured too close to their home. So when his hunger for the world came too large to sate with what they had, the others got rid of him.
Being removed from the shelter of his fellow tribesmen, he began his journey to sate his hunger. What he saw was the savanna, the animals, the blistering heat, the tall grass and taller trees. This was the world he had wanted to see, but it only made him hunger for more. To see more, to explore more, to experience more. But hunger, actual hunger, began to catch up to him. It soon became starvation, perishing to this before he may sate his hunger. With the savanna being his last sight forevermore.
The unnamed man's thoughts were the first of their kind, and with it, came the birth of one of the few first Gods. His titles were what he last experienced in the world. Hunger and Starvation. And so, the God of Hunger and Starvation came to be. His wandering eternal, wanting more to the world, when he was stuck within the Savanna as his last sights.
Time began to move swiftly by the God who knew not that he was a God, watching others around begin to drop from causes that were not his own, but the world. Although his presence only seemed to accelerate this process of hunger. Others around him that were beast or being began to thin, losing weight and soon dropping to the ground dead. A thing that only made the God stronger, as more befell that of which was his titles. The more that died from starvation or hunger of any kind were becoming one with the God of Hunger and Starvation. His body was naught with starvation, thin and frail as he walked, but never stopping. His head was full of the voices, thoughts and intentions of those that fell from his titles. A drive to sate his hunger and theirs.
A hunger befitting a God.
