(You are not 15 or 16 here. You are just eight years old. I am unsure exactly how old Shoto was when Toya passed away. But here it's 8. And in later Todoroki chapters, there will be the whole, Dabi is Toya thing. This chapter has gore, and self harm.)

You are the daughter of the great hero, Falmefila. She is the 60th Pro Hero in Japan. She has a flame type quirk, like Endeavor. So, it made sense that they know one another. She went to U.A at the same time he did. He didn't like her, but he thought teaming up with another flame hero could be good for his hero name. Endeavor kept your mother close in high school. And when they both first started out as Pro Heroes. She thought of him as a friend. Flamefila would often stop by to see his kids Toya, Fuyumi, Natsuo, and Shoto. When she had you, you instantly became best friends with Toya and Natsuo. You liked Fuyumi, but she was too bossy to be a best friend. You are quite younger than them. You and Shoto being the same age. You hung out with those two boys every day. You got to hang out so much, because your parents moved near the Todorokis when you were born. You are an only child, so Toya and Natsuo were the closest things you had to siblings. You never hung out with Shoto, though. He was always training with his father. You knew about him and his brothers talked about him a lot. And being across from the street from their house, you could hear his screams. But you hadn't actually met him, until after Toya passed away. Passing away is what the press and most of the world knew. He didn't just die. Toya committed suicide, and only you and the rest of the Todoroki family knew that peace of information. He left you a letter and a ring, to remember him. You were coming over to the Todoroki house to show Toya something. You called out for him, but didn't hear anything back. You looked around the big house and spotted a letter that was addressed to you. Looking at it, made your eyes and mind fill with wonder. What could this be about? You opened the letter. The note inside slid out into your hands. You read it out loud.
"Dear little Kaen (his nickname for you. Look it up if you want to know what it means), I need you to know a few things before I go. I am very sorry. No, one should have to go through this. Especially not you. You are very important, no matter what people might say. And I love you more than my own sister. You will be fine. Don't let me affect your life. I hate doing this, but I couldn't take it anymore! The screaming, the crying. Poor Shoto and mom. And... that bitch! I just couldn't live in a world where my so-called father lives in. I hope that someday, when you are older, you will understand the choice I made. I will miss you very much. Don't go crying over me, please. Love you always, Toya." You dropped the note. You had tears in your eyes. Wanting and pleading to come out. And they did. You cried and wailed hard and loud. It hurt. You had felt like your heart had just been burned and you were all alone. You stopped crying when you couldn't really breath anymore. Your throat felt like you had just scratched it with a sword. Looking down, you saw a beautiful ruby red ring attached to the note. It was one of those rings you could adjust to your size. You crouched down and lifted the ring from the paper. You put it on. Then, you were startled by a blood curdling scream. You quickly ran to where it was heard. Later, you would wish you hadn't. You saw Fuyami on the ground, with her hands on her heart, and tears in her eyes. She was staring into an open door. You walked up behind her to see what she was so frightened by. And there he was. Toya. The room was covered in flames and blood. His blood. His body was laying on the ground, lifeless. Your eyes widened in shock, and horror. You were only eight, and you had already known the feeling of death in the air. Natsuo came rushing to both of you. When he saw Toya, he called the police. You and Fuyami were as silent as foxes. Lots of people came to the Todoroki house. The police, a few neighbors, your parents, and the press. Everyone was asking you and the Todoroki family questions. You were told you had to stay overnight at a police station with Fuyami and Natsuo. You were asked very many questions. You answered all of them honestly. They let you go home the next day. You stayed home for a week. You didn't talk to Natsuo or Fuyami for a while, either. About eight months after Toyas death, Endeavor allowed for there to be a funeral. It took a lot of convincing and time. You were feeling better, but there still was a dark hole in your heart. After the funeral, it finally hit you. Why not talk about this with Natsuo, Fuyami, and Shoto! They had to be hurting too. Maybe talking would help you all feel a bit better. You invited them to come over to your house that weekend. Fuyami said that she had plans she couldn't get out of, so she wasn't coming. You were surprised Endeavor let Shoto and Natsuo come. You got snacks, blankets, and tissues. Natsuo arrived first in your house.
"Hey, Natsu!" You said, and hugged him tight.
"Heya little Kōri!" He hugged you back. He walked away into the living room. (Kōri is Natsuos nickname for you. Again, you might want to look it up.) Then you saw Shoto and his red scar come in.
"Hello Shoto. Thanks for coming. I don't think we've met before. I'm..." you started, Shoto cutting you off quickly.
"(Y/N), I know. Natsuo talks about you all the time."
"Oh, really? Well, I hope that we can become friends," you said. You pulled him into the living room, where everything was set up. You were going to start talking, but Shoto beat you to it. He asked you something you will always remember.
"What was he like? My brother. You knew him better than I ever did." You were shocked. You didn't think about it, but yeah, Toya has spent more time with you than others. You smiled softly and sadly. You told Shoto stories, while Natsuo watched you two. He was happy that his little brother was getting along with his best friend. Toya could never be replaced, but Shoto had started to fill that space that was left empty.
