Hotaru POV
I tentatively listened to the message from UA. It was impossible to sit still as All Might began to speak.
"CONGRADULATIONS HOTARU TODOROKI!!!!! Welcome to UA Highschool!"
I nearly cried from happiness. I made it in. Not only that, but I scored highest out of everyone on the entrance exam.
"Congrats."
I turned to see Shoto leaning against the doorframe of my room.
"What do you want." I muttered through gritted teeth.
"Am I not allowed to be proud of my sister for her accomplishments?" he replied.
"Like you would know anything about accomplishments! You've had everything handed to you! You didn't even have to take the stupid entrance exam!" I yelled at him. Without a doubt I had my Father's temper.
"I didn't ask for any of this!" Shoto yelled back. "You at least got to have a normal childhood!"
"What I got was to live in your shadow!" I retorted, steam emanating from my body as it heated with anger.
"I'm sure plenty of kids world kill to as strong as you!" Shoto said angrily, but a bit calmer than before. "Think about that before?"
"Oh yeah, well I'm sure they'd rather be the favorite than second best!" I growled back at him, the candles I kept in my room for practice all lighting aflame at the same time. "NOW GET OUT OF MY ROOM!!"
"I'm sorry Hotaru, I took it too far... it's just that none of this is really my fault." Shoto tried to apologize, but it was too little too late.
"DID I STUTTER!" I yelled out, and he finally made his way down the hall and out of sight. I looked back at the acceptance letter and hologram.
I'm going to be number one, and I don't need Father's help or Mom's quirk to do it...
