Kim Youngjo let out a tired sigh but a sigh of relief at the same time. He's done with his work for today. Yeo Hwanwoong, his best friend, was now in jail. He knew that he wasn't supposed to be in there.
He knew that Hwanwoong's mother was the one who killed his father. But letting his friend down was in exchange of his chance to steal a woman's heart.
After he passed the approval of the evidences to the investigators and to the court, he succeeded in his first intention. Youngjo was the one who approved that Hwanwoong was the suspect who murdered his father with all the testings that he specified as a doctor.
He faked it all. He knew that truth yet he chose to fake it.
"Y/n, I'm sorry about Hwanwoong. I didn't know that he would do something like that." he even faked the sadness that he showed to the woman. He knew that Y/n was starting to like Hwanwoong before the incident happened.
"I-it's okay. You have nothing to be sorry about. It's just... H-hwanwoong would never do that, he's a good man." she stuttered, trying to fight back her tears from falling down from her beautiful eyes. Youngjo clenched his jaw as he sat down next to the woman he loves.
Fortunately, she didn't noticed his pissed off look. He forced himself to put back the drama with his actings. "Maybe he's not just the good man that we thought he was. To be honest, I kind of doubted him from the first time we've met before we became best friends. But I just shrugged off the thought that he is bad. Now, I saw who he really is."
He internally smirked when he saw the way that Y/n was slowly convinced in his words. She remained silent but nodded curtly. "Oh, come here, sweetie." He pulled her gently in his arms to hug her. He caressed her back with his hand to add it more like he was comforting her.
"Thank you, Youngjo. For always being here for me." he placed his chin on the top of her head and whispered to her ears.
"I have always been here for you, Y/n. Only for you."

Youngjo stopped the car infront of Y/n's house and watched her unbuckle her seatbelt. "Thank you for the ride. Good night." she looked at him with a small smile.
"My pleasure, sweetie. Goodnight." she nodded then got out of his car. He watched her get inside the house before he started to drive off.
Now, he can finally smile in victory freely.
"Well, that was easier than I thought it would be hard to convince her." the sides of his lips lifted further. "Ah, Hwanwoong. You've been getting in my way since the beginning. How does it feel that Y/n is starting to hate you?"
He laughed, "Don't worry, after not a long time, she would definitely forget about you and she will only think about me." he talked like his friend was around him, listening.
Just then after his victorious moment, his phone rang. "Hello?" he asked.
"Youngjo, I need your help. I have enough money to pay you so hurry up." Son Dongju said from the other line. He met the younger man about a year or two ago in a party club and got along well which brought them to form a good friendship.
"Okay, I'll be there." He turned his car in a U-turn and drove the other way to Dongju's place. Once he arrived at the dark and abandoned place, he knocked at the vandalized metal door and it opened after a few seconds, revealing familiar figure.
"Come in." Dongju gestured him and the elder saw Dongmyeong lying on the sofa.
"He was shot and I need you to treat him. I will pay you a fair price." the dark red haired young man said and Youngjo nodded with a smile.
"No need since I'm in a good mood today. Just get me the things that I needed to get off the bullet from him." he said as he examined Dongmyeong's wound.
Dongju was surprised at the elder's mood but followed his command anyways to get his brother treated.
