Animal Sides

I just recently fell into the sanders sides fandom really hard- which, if you don't know what it is it's a web series made by Thomas Sanders and his friends that explores mental health topics by personifying the different sides of Thomas' personality, it's fantastic go watch it now -and I wanted to do some fanart but sadly I can't draw humans so I drew the sides as animals!! I just did the core four, though if I did the darks Deceit would be a snake obviously and Remus would be a raccoon cause he's the trash man.

Sorry to anyone who hasn't watched the series yet cause I'm gonna spoil their names (it's an important reveal in the show) and some other stuff so if you wanna watch the web series first here's your warning; SPOILERS

Here are my boys!!

Ok, Virgil is my favorite here I really nailed the posing and expression on him. Patton is suitably adorable, Roman is killing it as per usual and Logan is Logan.

I think the animal choices are pretty self explanatory but I'll explain them anyway:

Roman: he's creativity and passion, and also the prince so I though lion would be a good fit- y'know, bold and brash, king of the jungle (despite the fact lions don't live in the jungle and that expression really annoys me)

Virgil: he acts like he hates everyone but is secretly a soft and pure boy so he's a cat obviously. He also hisses in the show, and headcanon y'know how Janus is part snake and Remus has tentacles in the DWIT thumbnail? I think all the darks have animal traits/gimmicks and as an ex dark side Virgil is secretly a catboy

Logan: he's logic. Owls are the quintessential 'smart' animal. Very straightforward, but there's also a couple other things. Owls have sharp vision as well as keen senses and Logan is almost always the one to pull the group back on track and spot issues. I don't know if that's a stretch but owl seemed like the best fit.

Patton: as the purest and softest boy on this list Patton is clearly a dog, fite me. He's friendly and loyal and adorable. Case closed he's a pupper, 'nuf said.

I tried to incorporate some aspect of the character's costume designs beyond their colors, so Roman has his sash but in white cause most of his body is red here, Logan has little markings that look like his glasses, Patton has hearts because of his bodacious and loving soul and because it would be hard to put a cardigan around his shoulders, and our dark strange son has some nice purple stripes to echo his purple flannel style hoodie post Harry Potter episode. As for the completely white eyes I honestly just hate drawing eyes that's it.

This is a a lot of word salad but hey I spent like two days on this and the line work broke all of my fingers at once so I'm allowed some pride in my work. Also I just love all of the sides so much so I need to gush about my baby bois

Also, what are your ships? Personally it's prinxiety or polysanders, though I'm also partial to logicality.
