Chapter 2

Lights flashed around me as I quickly use Flash Run, a spell that enhances your running ability.

As I arrived to the Headmaster's study, a sharp leg came my way. I quickly ducked, did a foreword tuck, landed on my hands and did a complex turn on my hands, thus kicking whoever kicked me, in the stomach.

A soft "Oof" came from my attacker and I was already holding my Scythe, Eclipse.

"Ha,ha,ha! Not bad Alicia!"

I gasped. It was the Headmaster himself! I quickly knelled down and started,

"Please forgive me Headmaster! I was just coming to tell you something."

"Yes,yes! And what may that 'something' be?'

"Can we go into the study please?"

"Ah! Yes,yes! Of course!"

We headed towards the study, but something made me halt. I quickly took form again and studied the empty hall. I felt as if I was being watched by a careful eye...

"Alicia? What's wrong?"

"N-nothing. Just my imagination."

As we closed the large brass doors, the feeling disappeared. I settled myself onto one of Headmaster's comfy chairs meanwhile he was adjusting his leather sofa. When he finally finished his task, he turned to me and asked,

"Now, tell me what's bothering you."

"You know the Mr. Hydres man, right?"

"Yes."

"Earlier, I sensed Angel 13's aura around him."

Headmaster's face turned solemn.

"Yes, him. I am aware of that."

"But why? Why didn't you attack?"

"Because, it is very strange that a Angel would be here."

"I know that fact, but I don't understand that why did you let him leave unscathed?"

"Because, I want you to investigate him on this mission."

"But it takes place at the Hadar Mountains. If he attacks me there, I would be defenseless."

"I found a solution."

"You did?"

"Yes. I did."

Headmaster took out a small necklace that had a small stone on it.

"It took me 17 long years to find this solution."

He looked at it with passion, as if it were his own child.

"Does this stone have any zadi properties within it?"

"Yes, it does."

"........."

"It counteracts against the ore of the Hadar Mountains, and any other zadi reducing material."

"Will this help me on this mission?'

"Why, yes it will."

At that moment, the large brass doors began to open. I quickly tied the necklace around my neck, and faced the man who was by the door.

It was Mr. Hydres with his black top hat. He had a silly grin on his face and looked at me.

"Ready to go?"

"Just finished preparing Mr. Hydres."

"Good. Now, Solomon?"

"Yes!"

"Is this measly girl really one of your strongest Reapers?"

"Yes strongest out of all the Grim Reapers, though second to Raphael who is on a journey at the moment."

I saw a flash on Mr. Hydres face as he inspected my body. By the way, Solomon is Headmaster's name.

As I departed the room, I heard Headmaster whisper, "Be careful!"

I turned around and looked at him, gave him a small smile and the large brass doors shut.
