"You're cheating on me?"

You and your boyfriend's friend Colson walked into the Pineapple Club in Manhattan to reserve a part of the place for your boyfriend's upcoming surprise party.

Your boyfriend Pete had no clue what was going on or the fact that you and Colson were frequently meeting up to plan this party in Pete's honor. You had to pull a lie out of your ass to keep Pete from being suspicious. The entire week, you and Colson have spent a ton of time together, which made you feel awful because you have had to blow off plans you had with Pete. 

Colson went up to the front and started making the reservation as you peered around the extravagant bar, seeing young adults everywhere having drinks. You smiled as Colson finished up the reservation. Colson opened the door to let you through as you both walked back to your cars. Out of nowhere, there were multiple flashes followed by many voices talking all at once.

"Fuck," Colson said.

Both of you bolted to your cars and drove away as fast as possible, not looking back.

At approximately 53 minutes, you arrived at Pete's house. As you walked in his gorgeous home, you immediately saw him, with his arms crossed and an angry look plastered onto his face.

"Are you seriously fucking my best friend?" Pete said in an angry tone.

"Bubs what are you talking about?" You questioned. "That's crazy talk,"

Pete fished his phone out of his pocket, clicking on a few things before showing his phone to you. You peered over to his phone, which showed a TMZ article. The picture was of you and Colson leaving the bar. The other photos showed you guys running to your separate vehicles.

Pete looked at you with angry eyes that were forming tears.

"You're cheating on me?" Pete said in a soft tone.

"Okay, I can explain," You said. 

"There's no way to explain this," Pete said angrily. "Am I not enough for you?!"

Tears built up in your eyes as Pete tries to push past you, but you grabbed onto his arm before he could.

"We were trying to plan a surprise party for your birthday," You croaked. "That was the whole reason why Colson and I kept meeting up secretly,"

Pete's eyes softened as he grabbed onto you as if you were going to wither away and never see him again.

"Fuck I'm so sorry baby," He said. "I let my insecurity get the best of me,"

You held onto him and snuggled your head into his neck, taking in his intoxicating scent. The tears escaped your eyes as Pete started to cry.

For about two hours, you held onto each other and decompressed. The sound of sobs and "I'm sorry" echoed throughout the house. You were pretty sure the neighbors could hear you and are probably worried. 

Once the cry fest was over, Pete picked you up and spun you around. He kissed the tears off of your face as you giggled. He put you down as he embraced you once again, swaying you both back and forth. You smiled into his neck as he kissed the top of your head.

For the rest of the day, you and Pete ordered a pizza and watched TV. After you finished the pizza, both of you went into food comas since it was so heavy.

You loved him so much, and you would NEVER cheat on him.
