Chapter 5

Iyanna's Pov

After I was released from the hospital Sydney took me home and I asked her to stay, I didn't really want to be alone, and Sydney also didn't want me to be on my own so here we are. A few days have gone by and Sydney is basically living here. She comes over after classes and we do stuff together. I have learned so much about her in the last few days. Like how she is an amazing cook and how she is obsessed with marvel movies. (She made me watch all of them)

We were standing in the kitchen and Sydney was cooking. I walked up to her and just hugged her,

"What was that for?"

"You know the first thing I thought about when I saw the paramedics running up to me was: I can't die! I haven't told Sydney how much she means to me."

"Aww that's so sweet, you mean a lot to me too..."
"But hey, it was clear you were not going to die"

We both laughed.

As I pulled away from the hug, I still had my hands around her. Okay I'm just going to do this!

"Oh, and there is another thing I thought in that moment"

Sydney was looking directly into my eyes "And what was that?"

"That if I die, I would have never been able to do this..."

I lean forward and our lips connected.

It felt so right. Our lips fit perfectly together like we have been looking for this all this time. My whole body was full of Butterflies.

We slowly pull away.

"Woah"

"Yah wow"

Our lips connected again, and I felt it all over again.

As we pulled away she shyly asked
"Why did you kiss me?"

I was taken aback by the question but answered
"Isn't it clear?... I like you"

"You like me?"
In that moment my heart completely melted
"Yes stupid" I chuckled

"Since when?"

"Uhm... When we started going on the runs together. But I completely fell for you the day after your brakedown."

"Oh wow"

We both leaned in and kissed.
