Iyanna´s Pov

Sydney and I didn´t really do much together apart from running. I know she came to my game last week, but I didn't talk to her afterward. We were still on our normal routine for our daily runs and we even started texting a bit on the off days. But today something was off.

We were running our normal run. Some days Sydney would talk nonstop and others we would run in a comfortable silence. But today she seemed completely off. She responded to my questions in one-word sentences, which she normally never did, and just generally she seems off.

To top it all off she was running fast. Sydney was always faster than me, but today she was either running extremely fast or going extremely slow.

So after a little more than half of our run I tried to stop her but she acted like she didn't hear me. So I decided to run in front of her and just stop. She seemed angry at my action. But when I asked her what’s going on, she didn't respond. I put a hand on her shoulder and asked

“How are you doing? And don’t say good because I know that’s not true.”

She just looked at me. Suddenly she hugged me and started crying.

I tried to comfort her and lead her to a nearby bench.

“I have no idea what is going on but I’m here for you. Whatever you need I’m here, I’m not going anywhere.”

We talked a bit more that day and I decided to distract her a bit from whatever is going on. So the next day I picked her up from class and we went out for lunch and later watched a movie and just stayed in and ordered pizza.
