A few days later Paige got up to go to school. She got in the car with her mom to go to school. Paige didn't say anything. When they got to the top of the street, her mom stopped the car.
"Get out of the car. You're walking to school."It was 37 degrees outside. I couldn't walk to school! It was too far and too cold. I looked at her angrily and got out of the car and slammed the door.
"I'm tired of my life! You have no idea how hard I'm trying to be perfect for you and everyone else!" I said yelling at her.I ran in front of a busy street hoping a car would hit me and kill me. But the car stopped before hitting me. I fell down to the ground crying when the woman walked out of the car.
"Are you alright?! Did I hit you?"
No. But I wish you did!" I yelled at her. "I'm sorry. I can't take this anymore. I'm tired of being bullied at school and being treated this way by my family."The woman gave me a hand and pulled me up.
"Life is hard. But just know that you are worth living. God gave you this life because he knew you were strong enough to live it." The woman told me.I looked at her and wiped my tears away.
"Thank you. Thank you so much. You are the first person that has actually tried to help me. But that doesn't help the fact that I still have to go to school. All the kids that make me suicidal are there.."
"I'm sorry. There is nothing I can do to help you. You go to the school down there, correct?" She said, pointing to my school.
"Ya."
"I have a daughter that goes there. She has had issues with bullying. I can talk to her and see if you can hang out with her after school?"I looked at her with a smile on my face. I finally felt like there is a reason. A reason for me to continue to live. I have a bit of hope left because of this woman. And all it took was a few words.
"That would be amazing. I'm never really had many friends.."
"Alright! I'll tell her about you. I will try to get you two together after school."
"Thank you. Well, good bye. I've got to go to school."I watched the kind woman get in her car and drive away. I then turned around and started walking to school.
Wow. This may be my Chavez to making a friend. I just hope she isn't someone rude. She probably isn't. How could a daughter of such a kind woman be a bully?
All I could think about throughout the whole day was meeting this girl after school. I smiled at everyone that said something rude to me today and said "You are beautiful."
Just because others were rude to me, didn't mean I had to be rude to them.
