I finally landed in the big apple, with the money I had I would stay at a cheap.hotel for a while before heading to the university the next morning. I searched the net for directions the hotel which I had spent the night in.
After which I went to the university, after the long process, I was finally walking to my dorm.
I walked in to see a pretty white girl on her phone, I was not used to relating  with new people so I walked to my bed and started sorting out my things, "Hi" a perky voice said to me in what Nigerians may call an 'Oyibo' accent. I turned around  to see my roommate smiling at me "Hi" I replied back shyly, "I didn't notice you coming in I was playing a game on my phone and I get really into it when I'm playing games, I" , I stared at her because she talked a lot , "By the way I'm Issabelle" , "Omosewa or just Sewa", she stared at me for a second "That accent and that name, where are you from?" , "Nigeria ", "Where's that?", I sighed to me that was an annoying question "Africa and yes Africa is not a country " , "Oh, I knew that" ," Okay but please can we talk later I need to sort out my things " ,
"Sure" Issabelle said going back to her bed, I was not trying to be rude I did have a lot to sort out.
Nigerian parents were famous for overloading their children when they were travelling abroad.
