Louis had never been one of those people who run out of works as soon as their shift ends. That day, though, it was different. It was different because he had things to do, important things to do, that casually involved certain curly boy with dimples and green eyes.
Louis got out of the academy as soon as he could and took the tube to the restaurant he and Harry had talked about on the phone. He had to stand the whole trip but it didn't really bother him, it wasn't as if he was more important that the old knitting lady that was sitting in front of him. He, however, was fairly tired so he dropped his bag to the floor and secured it between his feet to prevent it from flew away when the train stopped every now and then.
When his stop was announced on the speaker he picked up his things, hung his bag on his shoulder and stepped out of the door after smiling at the knitting lady.
Just as he was running up the stairs of the station his phone rang in his back pocket. He took it in his hand and answered without looking at the ID.
"Hello?" he said as he crossed the street when the light turned to red.
"Hi!" Harry's cheery voice greeted him making a grin appear across his face.
"I hope this call is not to cancel" he said playfully as he walked down the street getting closer and closer to the restaurant.
"No" Harry chuckled, "I'm calling to invite you to somewhere after our da- I mean" he cleared his throat awkwardly "At night. A party, actually".
Louis suppressed a laugh and felt his cheeks heath up a bit. "That sounds good. But we're still seeing each other right? I'm about to get to the restaurant".
"Sure! I'm here already! We'll discuss the details later then" he said and Louis could practically hear him smiling.
"Yeah. See you in a bit" Louis said before hanging up and pocketing his phone once again.
He made it to the restaurant after a few minutes and pushed the door open with his bag. He scanned the place looking for Harry, he found the man sitting at the back of the place, waving widely at him with his dimples showing and his curls swinging from side to side. He grinned back and walked towards him, being as careful as he could with his bag, not wanting to bump someone or knock off somebody's food.
Louis made it to a smiling Harry who had already pulled the chair out for him so sit on it.
"Thanks, Haz." he said as he sat down, kicking his bag gently to place it under their table where it wouldn't be able to make someone trip.
"You're welcome. How was your day?" Harry said smiling at him.
Louis shrugged "It was normal. What about yours?" he said distractedly as he waitress approached their table. The waiter greeted them and then left with their orders written down on a notepad.
"So... you day?" Louis said looking at Harry again. The younger man just shrugged and held up his left hand in front of him with half a smile.
"I was a bit rough" the curly one said as Louis gasped. His hand was wrapped in a bandage that had a red spot in the middle. The blue eyed man reached for his injured hand over the table.
"What happened to you?" Louis asked concernedly as he touched his clothed hand carefully.
"I kind of hammered a nail into it?" Harry muttered awkwardly.
Louis pressed his fingertips against the spot gently, but it still made Harry Hiss and retract his hand from Louis hold,. Louis looked at his contorted face and muttered an apology.
"I got stitches... That's why I got ere earlier, Diana made me take the rest of the day off" He said sounding a bit annoyed.
"Well" Louis said, "I support her" Harry shoot him a dirty look "What? You hurt your hand, you can work like that. You actually should take more than a day off" he said at a now pouting Harry.
