Chapter 1 "the bucket list"

"Hey, wake up" whispered Melonie, "i have a surprise for you".
Jackson got out of bed and went downstairs with Melonie, they went into the kitchen and there laid a ruby red letter. "My surprise is a letter" jackson asked in a confused voice. "No i have never seen that letter before, i made you your favourite breakfast for our day at the beach". "I wonder where this letter came from" jackson said. Jackson picked up the letter and started tearing up, "jackson whats wrong?" Melonie said. Is was a letter from Jackson's late grandmother, in this letter it said "to my sweet jackson, as you know me and your grandfather have broken up." Jackson dropped the letter as her started to cry, he couldn't read anymore it was to painful. So Melonie picked up the letter and started reading more, "so anyway, love is sometimes a painful thing but you just have to keep going and love her as much as you can, do what ever you can to keep who ever you fall in love with forever". Jackson had loved his grandmother more then his own mother and father. "Ok lets eat and then we can go to the beach" said jackson, Melonie grabbed all the food and they ate. They were on there way to the beach and when they got there jackson said "hey, lets make a list of things that we have to do together before the summer ends" and Melonie replied "like a bucket list?", "yeah" whispers jackson looking deeply into the ocean. They got out of the car, laid down a blanket and they made a list. they had finally made the list they had five things they had to do, 1.throw a floating lantern off the dock by the beach, 2. Dance in the rain just like in movies, 3. Make a special dream catcher for there bedroom 4. Make a "reasons why i love you" book, 5. Go see fire works.
