The next few days were a whirlwind but the best thing was Flash Thompson's reaction. As soon as Peter came back to school after the Stark Expo he had fallen over himself apologizing for all he'd done to the young hero. Peter had contemplated saying no and watching die inside as he realized his favorite superhero didn't like him but Peter had decided to take the high road, though he by no means liked him. Flash wasn't the only one who had changed his attitude towards him, all his classmates clamored for his attention and even autographs! The boys who had bullied him now coward in shame. "A-anything you n-need, Parker. W-we're really sorry." Peter didn't care about that, he didn't ask them for anything.

The only person (besides Ned) that didn't act differently was MJ, she still called him a dork and didn't pay much attention to him. Except to make dry humored remarks, and he couldn't make up his mind whether that was a good thing or a bad thing. On one hand, he wanted her to like him for him and not for 'Spiderman' but he also wanted her to notice him.

He was had arrived at outside the boundaries of Stark Industries with Mr Stark in glossy black car because he had been made a chairman/consultant. They were going to make a decision about whether or not they should allow interviews with Peter. He was taking to Mr Stark about school and stuff, he was even telling him about the embarrassing Captain America fitness video (which his mentor found extremely funny) when he heard something strange.

A whistling sound. Like wind rushing past a huge object, Peter gazed upwards from the car window. And he saw what looked like a plane and he also saw a black smudge below it, his eyes widened. BOMB.

He turned and slammed Mr Stark so hard with his super strength that the man barreled through the car door. He knew that Mr Stark's suit would automatically kick in and protect him from the fall but definitely not a bomb. He also wrapped Happy in as layers of web fluid as he could and did the same with him.

Then there was a sound of a loud explosion and pain, so much pain. It was felt like his chest had erupted. Then there was black nothingness.

A man's voice was shouting something, his name? "PETER! PETER, WAKE UP." Peter? Yes, that must be his name. Was he supposed to feel this much pain? Pain, pain, pain, so much pain in his chest. The man shook him and shouted his name, Peter wished he would stop being so loud and  let me go to sleep. He heard some beeps, a woman's voice and the same voice but sobbing and trembling. "Help! Help! HELP, PLEASE!" Peter groaned and muttered quietly. "Not so loud." The man hiccuped with shock, and started quietly crying again. "Peter?"

"I'm okay." He muttered before dropping back into blissful senseless blackness.
