Summer: Chapter 1

"Thank you for flying with British Airways. The current time in London is 8:14 AM and the weather is looking lovely."

Jenelle and I grabbed the handcarry bags above us and stretched our legs. The flight was very pleasant, other than the fact we had to sit down for about 8 hours.

Jenelle was my best friend for almost 6 years now; we met as freshmans in high school who were lost as looking for directions; we've been best friends ever since.

"Gosh, Kyla. I really need something to eat. The plane didn't have that great of a variety of food," Jenelle complained. She barely got any sleep on the plane and worst of all she was hungry. Sleepiness and hunger weren't good mixes for her.

I fulfilled Harry's promise by deciding to visit him in London this summer. He didn't mind that I brought Jenelle with me; he actually wanted to meet one of my friends. I never really had the time to introduce him.

We walked around Heathrow looking for our ride, with Jenelle dragging her legs with each step. Harry couldn't make it today, so I guess he got someone to pick us up. We walked down the elevator and found someone holding a sign reading "Kyla Fernando."

"Yes, that's me," I replied to the man and showed him my passport.

We walked out of Heathrow and looked for our vehicle. Jenelle I stopped in front of a massively huge white hummer limousine.

"THIS is our ride?!" Jenelle couldn't get her eyes off of the thing.

"Would you prefer something else? This is the vehicle Mr. Styles told me to pick you up in," the man that was apparently our driver said to us.

"No. No. No. This is perfectly fine," Jenelle said while beaming. I couldn't agree more with her.

Harry overdid our whole trip to London. First class on the plane an now the limo. I was intrigued to see what he would do for us next.

The driver didn't give us any hint whatsoever as to where we were going, and my curiousity increased with every passing moment. I've never been to London before so nothing was familiar to me.

Jenelle and I were finally dropped us off at a really large house. The driver helped us with our luggage and left after we thanked him.

We slowly and tiredly walked up the steps and found a note on the door.

"The door is open. Walk right in xx"

I turned the brass door knob and looked around the house in awe. The floor shined in pure white marble and the house smelled fresh and clean. My footsteps squeaked on the shiny floor and I examined the backyard.

A large, shimmering swimming pool lay right before my eyes, and just as I was starting to zone out, I felt someone push me from behind and I landed with a splash in the cold water.

"Welcome to London!" Harry said while laughing at me and my wet hair. He was just starting to enjoy himself and his laughter until Jenelle came up from behind him and pushed him into the water as well.

"Yes, it's great to be here," Jenelle said with a bow and all of us laughed wholeheartedly.

Harry carried me out of the pool and wrapped a warm towel around me. I smiled as the floral-scented cloth grazed my wet body.
