Lily♥: hey, are you busy tonight?

Kei♥: No, why?

Lily: Dad wants to invite you over for dinner; sorta as an apology and mom wants to 'get to know you better'  and you can finally see the new house.♥

The Karasuno team had some time off before their next game to determine who they would play in the semi-finals; Suga had planned little outings and fun things for the team to do to 'bond together' as some people still needed to become friends, coughcough Tsuki and Kageyama.
Kei stared at the message with narrowed eyes. He and Lily had been together for a while now but he didn't feel ready to meet her parents, nervous even but no one could know that but him.

Kei♥: Sure

With a firm nod, each other them shuffled off to inform their parents on the night's events and of course, they were thrilled. Tsuki's mom spent the afternoon baking cookies for him to take and Lily's parents panicked over what food to cook; during their panic, the hours ticked by until it was too late. "Lily tell him it's movie night instead we can order and it'll be more relaxed that way."

"Tsuki I don't see why you make such a fuss, the shirt looks nice. I still think it needs a tie." The blonde sighed, shuffling around in the stiff dark purple shirt that his mother picked out for him seeing the snickering face of his brother from the corner of his eye.
'I don't even wanna go anymore.'

*PING*

He glanced down at his phone, watching her name pop up on the dimly lit screen only filled him with dread until he took the time to read it.

Lily♥: Hey, sorry for the short notice but we are having movie night so no need to dress up! We are ordering Chinese!!

A wide smile graced the boy's lips as he quickly tugged on the buttons of the shirt. "Change of plans so I don't need to wear this." His mother followed him in protest telling him how sweet he looked as he cringed at the comments; 'Yes mom, cause cute is how I'd like to look when meeting my girlfriend's parents.'

DING DONG

Tugging on the sleeves of her hoodie, she rose from the sofa opposite her parents making subtle eye contact with them before dashing to the door making sure to answer it before one of them.
She smiled up at him looking at his laidback casual attire and messy hair. 'How cute.'
She tugged him down gently by his shirt, neatening up his hair as a pout formed on his flushed face. "I could have done this myself you know.."

"Shut up you big baby." She pecked his cheek lightly as he finally stepped into the new house. It was very different from Tadashi's. It was bigger, airier with more colour and decor. He clung to the little container in his hands as her parents came into view; both smiling cheerfully at the new guest.

"So lovely to finally meet you." After awkward handshakes and introductions, the four sat opposite each other on the beige sofas. "So, Tsuki, I hear you are fond of dinosaur movies too? I am quite the dinosaur enthusiast myself." The blonde nodded and the ice was broken between the two; they discussed their favourite dinosaurs as Lily and her mother laughed at each other quietly. Tsuki had never felt so anxious in his life but he was determined to make a good, no a great impression.

"Have you seen Jurassic Park 3?"
"Yeah, it's one of my favourites." Her father beamed, pulling the DVD box from the drawer handing it to the boy who stared at it in awe. "I got rugby tackled by three men for this copy. It's signed by Sam Neil himself!"

"Stop moving!" Tsuki hissed quietly at Lily as she wiggled her head against his chest, her body lying in between his legs as he held her tightly; squeezing her every time he flinched. She closed her eyes happily enjoying the warmth from her boyfriend as well as the snug blanket around them.

The blonde would look down at his snoozing girlfriend every now and then; watching her nose crinkle or a heavy sigh escape her lips. Shaking his head, he knew the movie would end soon and it would be time to order food so it would be better to wake her up sooner than later as she always struggled to make a decision on what to order.
"Lily? Wake up."

"Hmghh" She groaned quietly, her still body showing no signs of movement.
"Lily!"
"I am under a sleeping curse. You will have to kiss me." She whispered, turning her head slightly towards him pressing her lips together to avoid laughing and breaking character.
"Lily stop being stupid." She continued to yawn, ignoring his light shakes and nudges until his lips gently pressed against hers and like magic her eyes slowly opened.
"Haha, I didn't know my prince would be so grumpy."

Light snickering came from across the room as Lily's parents had been watching the scene play out. Lily teased Tsuki and his crimson blushed cheeks, poking them gently before being called away by her mother to help with the food order.
"So Tsuki, you uhh you play volleyball?"
"Yeah.."
"Cool, cool."

...

...

"I'm just gonna cut down to it; I love my little angel and clearly you make her happy so I'm happy-" Oh god, Dad Speech. "You are welcome here no matter what and uhh I hope you can come over more often and keep her from grovelling in her room.." Sharing a firm nod and a mutually respected silence, Harvey Talcott rushed away to the kitchen in fear of any more awkward silence and the fact Kei was so red he thought he was going to pass out.

Lily hopped merrily into the living room, peaking through the toward the kitchen before kissing her boyfriend gently; giggling at the 'exciting' news she was about to share with him.
"So, mom said you can stay over if you want to since our house is a little further than Yama's. My mom said she can talk to your mom if she wants to."

The two whispered to each other; laughing like children savouring the time they had alone together before 'family night' continued.
