"Hey Yumeko, you are top of this class right?"
After this mornings announcement from Coach Ukai, everyone sole focus was passing their exams. Karasuno had been invited to a training camp by Nekoma but if you didn't pass the exams you couldn't attend so studying was a top priority.
Tsuki knew he needed extra help with Japanese; sure he knew he was going to pass anyway but a little extra help to get 100% would be beneficial. He spoke to the raven-haired girl sitting in front of him; continuing to ignore Lily despite her also being sat in front of him.
"Haha, well I suppose. Why?" The girls face flushed, turning her body completely to face him with a small smile. "Would you mind tutoring me?" Tsuki smiled back, leaning forward on his desk to get closer to the blushing girl. "T-tutor you? But you are just as good as me." "But you are the best of the best, everyone knows that." It made him feel odd, sugar coating his words to her but he needed to be on top of all his grades; and if it made Lily a little jealous that was a bonus.
Lily, on the other hand, had zoned out, staring down at her paper in utter confusion as the conversation next to her slowly pulled her back to reality. "So would you prefer to do it in school time or I can always come over?" Shit. Tsuki hadn't anticipated it going this far and he certainly did not feel comfortable with her coming over. Lily overheard, giggling at the conversation between the two. Sure she was slightly irritated he was so close to her and the way he looked at her, how his voice had changed slightly just talking to her but she tried to push those thoughts to the back of her mind; tried to.
She too swivelled around in her chair looking at her friends flustered face. "We can stay at school, the quiet empty classroom always seems to fuel my concentration." Lily shot him a subtle glare before fiddling around in her bag to distract herself. After another five minutes of Tsuki's poor attempt at flirting to annoy the little brunette, the bell rang, signalling it was time for lunch.
Lily spent her lunchtime laughing along with her new friends. Yumeko's group were very inviting, all gushing over the volleyball boys and how cute they were. These were your typically girly girl group and Lily loved it. "So Lil, do you like anyone?" She shook her head, picking at her food as his smug face quickly appeared in her mind. "You sure? You seem pretty close to that blonde guy, oh what's his name?" Itsuki rubbed her head, trying to remember the idiots name before Yumeko chimed in merrily. "Tsuki, God Itsuki he is in your English class."
On the other side of the lunch hall, Tsuki sat with Yamaguchi and the other boys, his mind preoccupied as usual as he pushed his food around with his fork. "So Tsuki, you and Yumeko are having a study date huh?" Yamaguchi muttered but it fell on deaf ears only for Noya to perk up at any given opportunity. "A date?! What about Lily? Is their budding romance crumbling before our eyes?" He placed his hand over his face dramatically as Tanaka too joined in. "Romeo and Juliet, the star crossed lovers that can never be together." Daichi appeared behind them, smacking them both on the head.
The end of the day quickly rolled around and the volleyball boys were in the middle of practice, Lily was in her usual spot on the bench as Kiyoko enters with an extremely ghost faced girl. "New friend Kiyoko?" Coach Ukai shouted as the two came closer. "This is Hitoka, she will potentially be the team manager with Lily when I leave." The boys began to crowd them, introducing themselves as the girl's soul leaves her body.
On the walk home, it was as quiet as usual with Yamaguchi and Tsuki until Hinata rushes over, jumping around Tsuki, his partner in crime following close behind. "Tsukishima can you please help us study for the final exams?" Lily smiled at Hinata but Tsuki only smirked. "Kageyama, do you have anything to say?" After mumbling and stuttering, Kageyama shouted to the obnoxious blonde. "Please can you help us study?!" After whining, begging and a glare from Lily he agreed as the boys rushed off home. "So you can be nice." Lily nudged him, looking up at his now pouting face his eyes just meeting her briefly. "I am always nice, just not to you." Nodding in agreement the trio begin to part ways until Tsuki reaches for her wrist, stopping her.
She tilted her head up at the blonde, confused as to why he stopped her after avoiding her all day. He left his hand lingering at her wrist for a moment, feeling the cold touch of her skin before reaching into his bag. "Here, idiot." He pulled out the little brown bag with the heavenly contents she so loved; rainbow drop cookies. Wrapping her hands around the bag a small smile curled at her lips, feeling a little flustered by his little gesture. "Thank you, Tsuki..." She muttered, gently brushing her hand against his, quickly pulling his hand away.
"Y-yeah whatever, don't eat them all at once or you'll get fat." The girl nodded, turning on her heel as the flustered boy keeps his eyes glued to the ground. "Goodnight Tsuki."
"Goodnight, you nuisance."
