One.
Lauren watched as her younger, once closest sister, slid into the booth across from her. Her hands sweating, and her heart racing.
Dani, watching her older, once closest sister, stare at her. Dani had known what this was about. She had known for a while now, deep down inside they both knew where things were headed.
Lauren finally calmed down a bit, and stared into her sister's green eyes, "Im tired Dani." she simply choked out.
Dani nodded, obviously knowing what she meant. Dani ran her finger through her dyed red hair and sunk down into her chair, "Has it really led to all this?"she asked in disbelief.
Lauren took a sip of her ice cold tea, before staring out the window, "This isnt us. This isnt you, this isnt me. I dont know who I am anymore." Lauren explained still facing the window, scared to look at her sister.
Dani held her head down, wiping away a tear that mistakingly fell. "Lauren, I wanna fix this. I wanna fix everything, I dont wanna let go."
Lauren bit her lip, and dug her nails into her skin, "We cant fix it. Its too late, the damage has already been done, there's nothing we can do at this point."
Dani had known it was pointless to say what she had said. Her lip quivered, she sniffed, careful not to cry.
Lauren on the other hand, was trying desperately not to break into sobs.
They both turned to each other, looking into each other's eyes, "Its so hard to let go Dani. But Im tired, Im so freaking tired. I cant hide anymore, I cant fake it. I can put a smile on for the fans, b-but at home things are not what we pretend they are. We're not close anymore, we're not bestfriends, we're just sisters. And we cant keep pretending we are more."
Dani looked to the sky, blinking away tears. She grabbed her purse, stood up and walked out the café. She got into her car and just sat at the wheel. She stared at the road, then put the car in drive. As the car started up, she looked into the windw of the cafê and saw Lauren with her head in her hands. Dani placed her foot on the brakes and slowly drove away.
In their minds, they both couldnt believe Dauren was over. Their sisterhood was over. Everything.. was over.
