Chapter 8

Welcome sinners

Midoryia POV:

I woke up to a small nudging on my shoulder. (idk if that made sense) I opened my eyes and saw Uraraka.

"Morning sleepy head. You sleep well?" She asked. I looked around and realized I was on the common room couch. Someone had given me a pillow and blanket though.

"What happened after I fell asleep?" I asked still a bit groggy.

"Well, you fell asleep leaning on Todoroki. Super cute by the way, I ship it!"

"Uraraka!" I wined.

'He's probably not even gay'

"Yeah, yeah. Anyway we finished the movie and most people went to bed. We didn't know your room password so he couldn't take you there.-"

"Wait he?" I cut her off.

"Yes, he as in Todoroki. He was going to take you to your room. AND he asked us to wake you up when we got up. I'm surprised, he has... what would you call it... a soft spot for you! What did you do?!" She asked.

"What do you mean soft spot, and what do you mean what did I do?" I asked.

"He offered to take you to your room! Normal Todoroki would never do that, so what's your secret?"

"I mean I just talked to him. We are in the same room all day, besides when we get food, so it's not that hard." I told her.

"Speaking of work. You should probably get going."

I looked at the clock, 6:47.

"I gotta go. Bye and thank you for waking me." I thanked her.

"No problem."

I made it to my room and hurriedly put on a grey suit, the undershirt was white. I didn't even try with the tie so I just got all my bathroom things done. I grabbed some toast and my shoes on the way out the door.

I made it to our office at exactly 7. I may have run so I'm a little out of breath. He told me I don't have to knock so I just walked in.

"Morning. Did you sleep okay?" He asked when he saw me.

"Y-yeah just fine... d-did you like the movie?" I asked back.

"It was enjoyable." He stated going back to his work.

"Great! Also sorry about falling asleep on you." I said sheepishly. I swear I saw a small, very small smile on his face for a split second.

'Maybe I just imagined it..."

"Don't worry about it." He said, " here is your work for today. When you finish we have a last minute mission."

"M-mission?!? A-are people going t-to d-die?"

"Right, you're new here. Simply put.. yes. They're bad people though." He explained.

"Bad people?"

"Yes, bad people. People that did or are doing horrible things and get away with it. We aren't savages killing anyone and everyone."

"Oh. O-okay. And what is my part in this mission."

"You are behind the scenes managing security cameras, looking out for incoming people, and watching my back."

"No pressure then huh."

"Actually there is a lot of pressure. But I've spent years working alone so I'll be fine."

"Right I'll just get to work then."
