I sat down in my usual spot at the park. Once again, the wind was cold, but also very calming. Oddly enough, I like the cold, despite the blisters and the way your fingers feel when you don't wear gloves, but being odd is nothing new for me. The calmness of the cold wasn't even the reason for my liking of the cold.
It was him.
Winter, for me, is blue. People look down upon the cold. They call it "the sad season" in my family. Just like his eyes. Shining, striking, sad blue eyes.

My legs crossed each other. The kids at the park didn't mind me, nor did their mothers or fathers. The park was fairly empty of kids, as there was only three kids playing with two mothers who spoke all the way across from where I sat. They had two strollers parked next to each other and their older children didn't seem to mind them. It was just silent. Exactly how I like it. I begun to jot down random things in my notebook.
Will things always be like this? Will I always be alone? Sure, I had friends, an abundance of them residing in other regions of the world, but will I always come here alone? I've never had anyone beside me, no one to love. All I have is a notebook, Wattpad, youtube, and my cat, Jimmy.
I continued to write these things as a gust of wind came past my left side. Panicking, I turned my head.
The boy with the blue eyes had arrived yet again.
I wanted to speak but couldn't, so I simply shot him a quick half-smile, returning to my writing. My breath was caught short. The boy, who seemed taller than me, sat in the same position as I. His legs crossed and he watched me write, which was odd.
"What are you writing?" He asked, lowering his head to see if he could spot my face. As he spoke, his voice shook. His face didn't match his voice considering he had glasses, braces, and blue eyes with a deep voice.
I looked up at him and put my pencil down. "Random stuff. Fanfiction, lists, quotes, anything that comes to my mind." My head lowered again and I picked up my pen. "And my name is Madison...call me Madi." He smiled.
"Zach. Most call me by my last name though, Graser. Could we meet again here tomorrow maybe?" Zach asked me, bringing his head down again to see my face.
"Sure."

After that, Zach left. I stood at the park until 8, which is when all the kids left. I cooked myself some food to eat, finishing the meal as well as cleaning dishes by 9:30. With no other choice, I tried to drift off to sleep.
I couldn't. The boy with the blue eyes took over my mind, and the worst part was, I liked it.
