I came over to hang out with my bro and she is here. She is always here.

"So this is still going on?" I say waving a finger back and forth between the two when I see them sitting on the couch.

I'm teasing, but Sarah didn't find it funny. Her nose crinkled to show her annoyance. I'm happy James is happy in his relationship, I just like getting a rise out of her.

"Don't be a dick." James answers back playfully.

"Too late." Sarah quips back.

I go into the kitchen and grab a beer. When I join them back in the living room, I try and join them on the couch.

"Excuse me." I say trying to sit in between them.

I can tell from the corner of my eye that Sarah just rolled her eyes. James just laughs.

"I should go anyway." She says standing up, finally giving me room to fully sit.

"Don't go on my account." I say innocently with a sly smile.

She ignores me. She leans down and gives James a kiss.

"I love you." James says with a cheesy ass grin on his face.

"Love you too." She says with a smile before giving him another kiss and leaving the apartment.

I tried my best not to react. Who knew James was such a pansy? Not me.

I can't help but stare at my friend in disbelief. "When did that happen?" I ask referring to the 'L word'.

"I told her the other day." He responds trying to play it cool, but I can see he is fighting a smile.

"But you love her already?" I ask perplexed. "I mean don't you think it's a little soon?"

He chuckles, "it's been 7 months, David."

I take a sip of my beer, "like I've been keeping track." I say shrugging. "All I know is she is always around."

"That's what happens when you love someone." He says standing up to get his gaming controllers for our game. "It's not like she just shows up. I want her around, so I invite her."

He sits back down and hands me an Xbox controller.

"You know, she thinks you don't like her." He says starting up our game of HALO.
