Getting to the Visum was much easier this time. Samael simply teleported us directly outside the waterfall; deep beneath the surface of the Sanctuary. Jordan and I sat side by side on the stone slab as Samael activated the mystifying viewer. It lit up with a bright red light as his eyes turned milky white just as the Ravens had.

There, deep within the earth, we learned of great turmoil in Heaven; how the war had begun and why he was so appropriately named "The Traitor". The story of Michael the Archangel who had banished Lucifer to the earth was displayed before us as though we were present and witnessing it first-hand. We learned of a second Sanctuary located somewhere in the northern part of the Americas, which was much more habitable than the ruins we had come to know. Bit by bit, we learned more about the old world that had been taken by the sea long ago.

'Hold on a moment. Could you tell us how we came to be? I mean, if demons were banished to the depths of Hell, how is it that we came to be here on earth, Living-Demonics I mean?'

It became obvious that his memories could be directly affected by his emotions as a woman's face flashed in and out of the images. He seemed to be having trouble keeping his concentration on track; as if something about this woman kept knocking him off balance. An expression of longing and perhaps even mourning overcame his demeanor, and rather than fight the temptation to venture off topic he began to speak once again; but now with an expression of shame upon his face.

'I didn't want to get into this, but I suppose you should probably know where you came from.' He hesitated, then took a deep, mournful sigh; looking directly at me with his milky eyes.

'Since the earth's inception I have walked the lonely road of immortality. Though I have spent a great deal of time in slumber, I only seemed to wake at pivotal points of human potential. Each time I woke, the earth had changed significantly. As humanity evolved, I slept within my tomb and soon enough I awoke at the dawn of a crucial stage of human evolution.

Before us, a much fresher looking Samael crouched within the cover of leaves, his red eyes focused on what looked to be underdeveloped humans. Strange creatures that I could not identify roamed about—species that I presumed to be long since extinct.

'As I roamed the earth, I was aware that each time I had awoke was always with great purpose; though I had no idea what I had unleashed until it was too late.'

Watching Samael walking amongst so many extinct creatures was odd but as a woman was suddenly visible bathing beneath a scenic waterfall, the world suddenly seemed even more beautiful. Colors somehow seemed more vibrant; a euphoric mist-like substance pulsating around every living organism, down to the smallest blade of grass.

When she stepped out of the water, it became obvious that she was pregnant as her stomach was large and bloated. Her long, wavy black hair dangled above a caramel complexion.

'Her name was Lilith. Unlike the others she seemed so much more intelligent, more mentally developed than any I had previously met. Amongst the barbaric state of her human kin, she seemed to understand advanced problem solving intelligence; so much, in fact, that I could teach her language skills with relative ease. She was the first of her kind, but certainly not the last.'

'Though she was with child, my affections for her grew stronger; and for the first time, I found myself experiencing love on the earthly plane. I taught her to speak, to read and write and eventually I told her everything I knew. Her mind soaked in information with such ease, and I was utterly amazed of how quickly she learned. It was the first time in millions of years that my heart had truly found joy. As our relationship flourished we... consummated our relationship. Little did I know that my condition was contagious.'
