I closed my eyes, trying to calm myself. I imagined a nice beach, blue water, we were eating hotdog. When I opened my eyes, I had the creamy taste of mayonnaise and mustard. We were on the beach.
Romel and Nessa enjoying the hot dog.
"Atleast we made it here safe from the creature", Romel said, biting into his hotdog.
The creature.
I suddenly had a flash in my mind of the spider entering the beach.
"Come on, Stella, we have to go!!!" Screamed Nessa.
As I looked around, I saw the spider, approaching us. As people ran in terror, the spider simply swung its leg to swap away anyone who ran next to it.
We grabbed hold of Romel and he jumped us onto a yacht that was docked a hundred feet from shore.
Once on board, he started the engine and we went into the open waters.
We drove to an island, certain we were safe, after all, spiders can't swim.
We decided to spend the night on the island before continuing to the main land the next day.
Nessa took a spot on deck, Romel in the captain's area, and I went below deck. We went to sleep.
I was awake to the screaming of Nessa's voice and the rocking of the boat. My vague dream flashed through my head: the spider jumped on the water surface and found us.
