Volume 1 Chapter 12 Lost Memories Part 2?

Previously: *Rose Raven POV* His voice soothes my sadness and I stop crying instantly afterward. My sadness fades as I look into his eyes. My heart pain stops and I smile genuinely for the first time ever since I got in this cave. "Yes please." He laughed at my answer and smirked slightly at me. "What an intriguing human you are child." I felt like my burdens have been lifted for the time being. I feel like I can belong somewhere and find myself again one day. He set me down and then Introduced me to the others....

The first one I saw was the man with a bone mask and the second one was the man with huge muscles and pretty Amber eyes.

I make eye contact with the masked man and their Yellow eyes pierce through to my very core. "Hello I'm Rose Raven and you all are?" I bow and then get met with someone licking my face. I stand up abruptly and take a step backward in fear. The same masked man laughed at me with a sinister look in his eyes. "You have no idea what you said yes to." He said, in a high pitched voice and weird accent. Then suddenly my hand was grabbed by another figure. They said nothing but licked their lips. Then a red-haired kid grabbed the hooded figure that grabbed me and smirked devilishly at me. "How pathetic, you think I saved you from my brother. I'm Derrick and I have no intention of being nice to you." He walked past me and then his shoulder bumped me out of the way. I almost fell to the ground but Azul caught me just before. "I did say it was dangerous. I can't force my brothers to like or respect you on orders alone. Let's head out before it gets too late." He grabbed me and picked me up from the ground. I could just tell the others were just holding back because of him but I get the feeling when he's not around I might be in trouble. *

Meanwhile on the outside of her mind~

She stopped freaking out and her body settled down. She subconsciously squeezed Gareth's hand as he grabbed her's. He jumped as she did this and thought for a second that she finally woke up but a few seconds later there was no response from her.

Then she suddenly remembered another memory but this time it was much more memorable. She was traveling with the brothers to a far-out town, she just met them a few days before this. She wasn't trusted by the brothers except for Azul. Not even Gareth, her favorite,' Hell-Hound Brother' in the present time.

Gareth & Jackle just came back from getting supplies from town. They camped outside of town and in the forest. She was sitting alone to the side in silence. "Hey, you! That's them! Get them, guards!" She was alarmed by a group of men running towards her. She looked around and remembered that the others were out gathering information and wild food in the forest. Gareth and Jackle were all bloody and injured because of the men and a few adventures. "Damnit, I guess they figured us out, too bad we can't defend ourselves, I really wanted to eat them!" Jackal said, irritated. "Oh well, I guess we will have to go against orders." He said that about to collapse, he threw the supplies to the ground and a knife fell out of the bag. She walked towards the bag and saw them about to be executed. She knew that if they died that her life would be slightly better but then again. She ran in front of them and screamed out, "LEAVE THEM ALONE!" The adventure saw the small child and went to grab her but she swung the knife she got from the bag. He cried out when his first three fingers got cut off. "You little bitch!" He grabbed her hair and slapped her small face in anger.

Meanwhile, Gareth and Jackal were watching the girl that they have treated with such disrespect and ignored, and she stood up for them without hesitation. She is suffering because of them not fighting back. She's pathetic, maybe. She's a human, Maybe. She's Brave, Yes. And she's kind-hearted to those who she meets no matter if they are rude to her. "Damnit, you weird girl, Too bad I wanted to eat you. I guess that's off the table now." Jackal said, smirking devilishly. "I guess I have no choice but to return the favor!" Gareth said, sighing deeply. The guards and adventures were just about to kill them when Gareth summoned his shield, and it appeared out of thin air because of magic. Their weapons bounced off of his strong shield and then it was Jackle's turn. He summoned his bone daggers from thin air as well. He slit their throats in an instant but then the same fingerless adventure backed away with her as a hostage. She screamed out in pain as he squeezed her head of hair tightly. They were at a standstill with weapons in hand. "Get away from me you monsters or the little girl gets it!" Gareth grits his teeth but then stands up with no hesitation. "I don't care for that human girl, she was going to be our dinner anyways." The man panicked as he saw how serious he was. He took another step back and got met with another person behind him. He turned around and got instantly beheaded by long metal claws. Blood gushed all over Rose and the ground in front of her. His body fell backward as his head rolled towards the fire. She fell to the ground and grabbed the knife and stabbed her stomach once. Azul fell to his knees and caught her almost lifeless body. Gareth and Jackle went into shock over what she just did. "Rose? Rose? Can you hear me?" Azul said, worried about her life. Gareth's words broke her heart to the point of wanting to die. "Go ahead and eat me if you are that hungry, I don't care either way." She closed her eyes and fell unconscious in Azul's arms. His eyes became dark and his whole body ached to see her die in front of him. His light magic came swarming out of his hands and whole body as he hugged her small body gently. "You aren't allowed to die, not here. She tried to save you both and all you do is dismiss her like she's nothing!?" The two brothers whimper in fear as their oldest brother scolds them greatly. She starts to wake up slowly to see everyone there and looking at her. She panics and then Azul smiled, "Don't worry my dear Rose, you are safe with me and my brother's from now on no harm shall come upon you." Gareth bowed his head and grabbed her hand, "I'm sorry for saying those cruel things, it was to put the man on the edge and not to hurt your feelings. I forgot that humans are so fragile." She reached out her other hand and caressed his hurt cheek. And then healed him with all the strength she had left. "I'm sorry too, after all, I wanted to help but I got in the way." She fell asleep once more. "Rose?" Gareth said, panicked. "Don't worry she's just sleeping, I've never seen you like this little brother," Azul said, to Gareth. "Like what? Oh well, it's only because she healed me, I couldn't care less." He stormed off into the woods and shifted. The others joined him as Azul babysitting the human child back at camp. "They are all slowly falling for her, but I have a feeling that she's not a normal creature. There's no way she's a human. But if so, I don't really care. She's special to us, no matter what the others say, I know they feel something deep down."
