"yoongi!" taehyung shouted, running into the two's shared apartment.
yoongi was laying down on the couch, still recovering a bit from surgery and taehyung had drove back from the cabin as fast as he could to see him.
hoseok, jungkook, namjoon, and jin were all in the apartment as well, but taehyung was way too frantic to notice them.
"holy shit! are you okay? what the hell happened?" taehyung asked, slightly panicked, running over to yoongi and grabbing his hands.
yoongi just shook his head and assured taehyung he was fine.
"just a minor surgery. they said i'll be all back to normal in a week or so," yoongi said, smiling lightly to show him he was fine.
tae just put a hand on his chest and took a few deep breaths, feeling his anxiety subside a little.
"thank god."
yoongi just laughed.
"it was sweet of you to come all the way back, but you really didn't have to. i didn't mean to cut your little vacation short."
"no, it's fine. i was ready to come home."
the conversation fell silent for a moment and taehyung turned his head, finally realizing the two weren't alone in the room.
first, he saw namjoon and jin.
"oh... hey guys," tae said.
then, he noticed hoseok
what?
and when his eyes landed on jungkook, he just about fainted.
his lips parted slightly in shock and his eyes widened.
"jungkook."
the whole group just stared at the two, knowing how weird it must be, knowing tae wasn't aware of anything that had happened since he left.
"hey," jungkook said, a hint of sadness in his voice.
it was clear to him that taehyung wasn't exactly happy to see him. although he should have expected it, it still made him sad.
taehyung looked amazing. he always looked great, but he looked especially good at the moment. his old blonde hair was now back to, what jungkook assumed was his natural color. his hair was wavy, a few pieces falling down gracefully over his face. he had small hoop earrings in, paired with a black turtle neck and jacket, probably to protect himself from the chilly weather outside.

"what... what's going on?" taehyung asked, looking back to yoongi.
