I felt slightly alarmed when I felt something wet on my face. I immediately shot out of bed when I felt this fluff ball on my face.
I opened my eyes groggily to see a small kitten (pic)
I sighed and smiled at it. Everyone, meet Baby, and Baby, meet everyone.
My dad found her a few days ago and I'm still forgetting that she's here.
I love cats and fluffy stuff, and it doesn't take much to take care of her. All she wants is shelter and food. Something I can't say no to when I look into her eyes.
I was always a sucker for cats. Damn.
She purred and closed her eyes when I started scratching behind her ear. She then started rubbing me with her body. Oh well, guess she doesn't want any other cat having me. Yay!
After getting ready for a day at work, I bid my daddy goodbye.
He might be old but he still looks out for me.
He makes sure that I don't get 'looked at' like a piece of meat. But that's a story for another day.
I walked out of my apartment and made my way to the library.
It was just a ten minute walk.
I was so caught up in my thoughts I didn't notice that there were men surrounding the library and the furniture was being removed from it.
I stood there in shock as my manager ran out of the library and started shouting to someone behind me.
"Screw you and your company. I could care less about this stupid building, you can have it all. But, mark my words Clawe, you will regret it all"
I stared bewildered at Mr. Masons and turned around when I heard a deep chuckle.
What I saw in front of me swept me off my feet.
There stood a man, dark hair, tanned skin. He must be at least 6'4. I frowned at myself for being 4'9.
"You can try making me regret. But you'll only be losing everything, like this building"
I shook my head and that's when it hit me. The library was being closed! I had no job.
I immediately ran to Mr. Masons with tears in my eyes.
"Mr. Masons, why are they taking everything away. I need to support my father Mr. Masons", I said
He turned to look at me and his eyes softened.
"I'm so sorry dear, but I'm afraid this is the end of our library. Mr. Clawe over there couldn't take the fact that this property was mine!"
I turned and looked at that 'Mr. Clawe'
I walked up to him, slowly, I could see his eyes following my every move.
He raised an eyebrow and I cleared my throat.
"Sir, I understand that you might think that you're rich and you can get anything you want. So why won't you go ahead and buy the freaking Eiffel Tower instead of picking on an old man", I said coldly
Well, I thought I could say it coldly. Clearly I did not, because he started laughing so hard there were tears in his eyes.
"I might as well buy you, but then again, why would anyone want you", he said with a smirk.
Now all of you must think that I ran away crying for dear life.
No.
I kicked him in his family jewels.
I ran off, only when I heard him screaming curses and asking for help.
'Pathetic', I said to myself
Don't think I'm cruel okay, I have a dad to support and bills to pay along with a kitten to feed.
I sighed to myself and went back home, just hoping I'd be able to find a job by tomorrow, or I'll just have to beg.
