'What the heck was that?!?'

Kade's Introduction.

Hi I guess. The name's Kade and I'm a nineteen year old douche bag. I live alone because my parents are gone. Wait that sounds...Wait! don't get me wrong they're still alive! Just doing some business overseas is all. So I'm stuck here by myself in this apartment. My parents do send money, you know, for food, rent etc. but that's only once a month. And most of the time, as the irresponsible person I am, I spend it all on manga and new video game releases, and then starve for the rest of the month. Worth it, am I right, or am I right? That right there, is the reason I work part time as a cashier at this convenient store across the street, Monday to Thursday. Of course, I cant let my parents know about this....or else I'm screwed. As you probably would have have guessed by now, I'm an introverted shut-in. So I don't go out much. Only if it's necessary. College is pretty hectic if you ask me. Just the trip of going to school is tiring. Riding my bike for miles with a huge backpack filled with books. Ugh. I don't wanna think about it. And I think that's about it. I wake up, eat, go to school, head to my part-time job after, get home play videogames, read manga and sleep. Yup, that's about accurate. The life of an ordinary guy.

Friday Night, April 5, XXXX

Kade's P.O.V

"School's finally out for the day! Ah. I get to go home for the rest of the day. HECC YEAH!"

At Kade's House

"Home at last! I really should get some food though. I'll probably just get take-out while I'm out"

On the Street

Narrator's P.O.V

As Kade makes his way to the grocery shop, just around the corner, he noticed his usual shortcut had been blocked of due to the remodeling of an old bus stop. Seeing this, he made his way to the route had to go for classes in the mornings. As he walked, he passed a deserted playground where kids no longer played at. He had always passed there but somehow didn't quite notice the place. He was always in a rush to go to school, that he did not have time to actually look at the place. The play sets were old and seemed to have been growing mold. "Eww..." Kade thought to himself.

After picking up the groceries he needed, (and also his supper), he made his way back to his home, having passing the park. He was still walking when the heard a loud 'bang'. And a loud 'thud' after.

'BANG!!!!'

"What the heck was-"

'THUD'
