Alex's POV:

its been about two weeks since Izzie moved back to Seattle and moved in with me. She made up with Meredith, who was not happy about her just showing up like she did. Everyone else loves having her back. Shepherd loves it because he has someone that wants to learn all about that brain thing. I even like having her back. It feels a lot more complete if you know what I mean.

"Iz wake up, you need to eat before work." i said as I peeked my head into the room next to mine on the way down to make breakfast.

"Way ahead of you." Izzie said as she walked out of the bathroom in a pale pink top and a pair of victoria secret yoga pants.

"You look very...comfy." I said to her as she walked in front of me.

"Yeah well i'm in between sizes right now and this is the only thing besides my scrubs that fit me."

"Well I mean i'm certainly not complaining but, let's go eat breakfast." I said as we went down the strairs and entered the kitchen.

"I really only have fruit right now, since it's the easiest thing to grab in the morning." I said as I grabbed an apple and started peeling it.

"Yeah, that's fine, fruit's healthy anyways." Izzie said as she grabbed a banana and peeled it.

~~~ an hour passes ~~~
Izzie's POV:
Alex and I have been acting like our old selfs lately. We've been carpooling to work and eating lunch together which is really nice. I've been really happy here.
We parked in the parking lot at the hospital and started walking up.
"Hey, I have to go to Shepherd's office and talk to him about a case we have today, i'll see you later?"
"Yeah, hey wait a second." Alex said to me. "What about we go get dinner tonight and talk about some things?"
"Like a date?" I said looking at him with a slight smile on my face.
"Yeah, sure like a date." Alex said as he leaned over and kissed me on the cheek. "Have a good day I'll see you at lunch." he said with a smirk as he walked away.
All I could do was smile when I walked up to Shepherd's office.
~~~ 7 hours have passed and it's now 5:00) ~~~

Alex's POV:

"Iz, hey are you ready to go?" I said as I walked into the neuro lounge.

"Yeah, can you come help me with my necklace first?" she asked.

I walked over and clasped her necklace back on her neck.

"You're wearing the necklace I gave you for the last birthday we spent together?" I asked her.

"Yeah, I like it a lot actually."

"Glad you like it, let's go."

~~~ at the restaurant ~~~
"So I have a couple questions for you." I said to Izzie glancing up at her slightly while reading the menu.
"I have a couple answers for you." She said back.
"Why did you come to Seattle? Did you come because of the baby, and wanted us to be a family, or just to come, have me support you and the kid just to leave unexpected a year from now?" I asked.
"I came to Seattle because I would rather you find out that you were going to be a dad from me, not from someone else. I would never just leave you like I did last time. I had no choice last time. If you're in this 100% so am I." She replied back looking me in the eyes. I could tell she was being sincere and honest. When she's lying she blinks a lot and her left eye twitches. Neither of the two were happening right now.
"Well i'm all in this. I want this baby, I want you to be happy, I want you in general." I said back to her as I set my menu down and leaned over the table and pressed a gentle kiss on her lips.
Izzie's POV:
We've been at dinner for about half an hour now, and we've talked about us and work and now we need to talk about the most important thing right now, the baby.
"So I have a question for you now." I said. "Let's talk about the baby for a minute. Like do we want to find out the gender, what names we like.." Alex cut me off.
"Yes, I would like to know as long as you want to know, I like the name Connor for a boy, and I mean I really haven't thought about a girls name.. what about you?" he replied and a huge smile came across my face. I loved the fact that he had thought about all this and we becoming more responsible about these kinds of things.
"I love the name Connor, I like the name Emmalynn or Olivia for a girl, I thought long and hard about those names. I am so glad you said you want to find out the gender because I cant wait 28 more weeks to find out if we're having a boy or a girl, and I mean it's more fun buying all the cute pink or blue stuff before hand anyways." I said.
"Good, glad we have all the smallish things planned out."
We then continued to finish dinner and went home and talked about more things before heading to bed.
